I’m a painfully shy person. We just started our new small groups in bible study and you’d think I’m incapable of speaking. I know the answer in my head. I want to provide feedback. And I freeze. People always think I’m not shy because when I’m in my element [i.e. hosting a fashion event or speaking at a fashion presentation] I’m outgoing. That’s only because that’s “work” me and I feel like I can separate myself from that! ha!

But two weeks ago I got the opportunity to speak at the Polished Fort Worth Luncheon. Polished is an amazing women’s group [they have Dallas/Austin/Houston/FW] where they bring together female business professionals and combine it with faith and friendship. I was honored to speak and excited because I enjoy talking about blogging all day long. However, there was also a personal aspect to it as I talked about my faith and motherhood and friendships. Cue my shy side!

I lucked out and got to go shop for a dress because our clothes are still in boxes in the back of the storage unit. I have yet to convince my husband it’s a lovely idea to go play hide & seek with boxes in our unit.

In my mind I knew I wanted something black because black = confidence. But then I saw this poppy print from Kate Spade and felt it was perfect. It’s professional [okay, okay professional enough for a fashion blogger!] yet fun and had a relaxed fit so I can crawl on the floor with Maxi in it. It does pretty TTS but if anything maybe a bit big! I’m wearing a size S and could go down a size, but I love a loose shift! To account for the shape, I went with a pretty sleek hairstyle of straightening out my locks and doing a ponytail like above.

I feel like I say this at least once a month on my blog, but this really is my favorite look I’ve shot thus far!

But speaking of favorites, I’m thrilled that you all were as excited as about my Colleen Rothschild mask post as I was. I went on Snapchat [sans makeup of course] showing the effect of using the hydrating mask so you all could see the texture of it and I was blown away by e-mails and messages.

The CR team was so kind about it and of course glad that many of you are CR fans, so they have been extremely generous to provide a reader with a $200 gift card! I hope it helps one of you find the right masks and treatments for your skin! Enter below to win

I hope you have a wonderful Monday, thank you for spending some time with me!

How comfortable are those shoes? I’m in the market for some black heels that are comfortable enough to run after a 2 year old at a wedding. (Yes I’m probably jinxing myself but odds are it will happen)

Hi girl! They are very comfortable for me, I have them in 2 pairs I love them so much! But be careful where you tighten the strap. If you tighten too tight it can rub on your back ankle! xo
