Girls Just Wanna Have Fund$

On a first date you don’t discuss politics, religion or finances. I’m breaking the rules, because the first two questions I asked my boyfriend on our first date was who he voted for and if he was Catholic. (He’s not, I just heard him mention mass. I was curious. Sue me.)
We’ve received some questions about how we save money and budget for splurges. While budgeting is a no-no to discuss, we can share what we save and splurge on! If you need money for something you really have to buy, sites like The #1 Rated Hard Money Lender in Florida such as Hard Money Lender Florida may be of great help.
Splurge. I splurge on the items that will allow me to look put together even if I have a lion mane and no makeup on.
Wrist Candy: I never take off my bracelets and they need to be durable. Nothing screams, “hot mess” more than a green line on your wrist from a Forever 21 chain.
Heels: I’m a sucker for a pump from Target, but I always regret it. Blisters, tears and scuffs always show up once I’ve ordered my first margarita. Each birthday I buy one pair of ridiculous shoes. This completely justifies it and helps you build your shoe wardrobe that will take you dancing for decades.
Nails: You can go a little longer with your roots from highlights as long as your nails are done. I invest in manicures because nothing makes me more self conscious than messy nails. Your eyes and your hands are two things people’s gaze wanders to. Without a manicure my nails look homeless, Jesus just made me expensive.
Bag:It makes more sense to buy one handbag a year than 4 handbags a season. I  say you should spend at least $50 per month in a row you want to carry you bag. Your bag is like your boyfriend, people associate you with it, so make it classy.
Face: I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Your skin is your largest organ and absorbs EVERYTHING. If you want to put $4 worth of Covergirl on your skin, then your skin will look like it is $4 at 60. Invest in this Georgio Armani liquid silk if you like a liquid foundation. It works as a concealer as well. I bought mine in September and STILL have over half the bottle left.
Dresses: You can look like a size 2 or a size 6, it all depends on the fit of your dress. I’ll spend $100 more if I can look 2 sizes smaller. The brand Parker is amazing. It forgives french friends and 2 a.m. Taco Bueno.
Save. I save on the items I go through quickly.
Lashes: Not that anyone reading this was confused as to if they should only buy designer eyelashes, but you can forgo spending money on countless eyeshadow palettes for events. Just throw on a pair of Target cheapies and you’ll look Chrissy Teigen in two seconds.
Travel bags: Keep your designer bags clean from clutter with these little makeup bags from Forever 21. This allows your bag to last longer by not getting red lipstick on the side or crumbs in it.
Lipstick: Yes, I’ve bough YSL, Tom Ford and Chanel lipsticks far too many times to count. Guess what? I use it twice and then revert back to my Maybelline or MAC. This goes on your lips 6 times a day, don’t waste money. It’s absurd. It all looks the same. Except invest in a red, it keeps you from looking like you can be purchased. (ifyouknowwhatImean)
Skirts: Do you know what happened to me the very first time I went out in Dallas once I was 21? I got gum on my skirt. I also do not chew gum…Disgusting. The Juniors department at Nordstrom has perfect skirts for dinner and drinks. No one will be able to tell the difference between a $20 or $200 one.
Tees: I live in v necks with statement necklaces. Peplums and patterns may go out of style, but a good solid tee won’t. Don’t spend money on these, they get holes in them. Gross.
Statement Necklace: My mother has worn arm stacks to her elbows since I was a child. No joke, her first picture holding me, after 26 hours of labor, she STILL has on her Bobbie Brown chocolate eyeshadow on and David Yurman. It could be an ad. But, jewelry fads can change. And in a year we could be scoffing at statement necklaces. Although, I probably won’t. I live in Dallas. But seriously, don’t invest in these. I love Accessory Concierge and Etsy.
Taking out payday loans Reno can help fund the process of finding a new place to live. For instance, if you find an apartment with iListers, you might need to cover the costs of the first month, last month and a security deposit. You may also need some cash to furnish your new home.

Just found your blog, 2 words…In love! Your advice on fashion is so practical for the average girl. I am a freshmen communications major with a concentration in PR at a two year college, due to the fact I couldn’t decide where I wanted to spend the 4 most important years of my life. I’ve looked at Syracuse, Elon, NYU, and UF and still can’t decide. I wanted to ask if going to one of the highly sought after schools will give me an edge when interning and ultimately landing my dream PR job, whatever that may be?

    Thanks a bunch
