Autumn Ball

Dallas Autumn Ball is just around the corner and so many times we hear “black-tie” and have a mini stroke. Men throw on a tux and are good to go, but God made women a lot more expensive. A lot.
What is the Dallas Autumn Ball? It is just a taste of Gossip Girl in Uptown. You can read all about it here. It is essentially a black-tie wedding reception for young professionals, with no wedding that supports education in Dallas. The Dallas Autumn Ball tries to get charity work to become more affordable to young adults in Dallas by hosting this fun event.
Now, on to the frivolous aspect of this event, your outfit.
Anytime you have a black-tie event to go to I have three holy grails that won’t steer you wrong.
1. Spray Tan

“But I don’t want to look orange.” Great, you won’t. It is 2014 and spray tans have evolved, I pinky promise. I would rather go to a wedding with no makeup on and a spray tan, than vice versa. They will lift, tone and tan you and it only takes 5 seconds.

2. Blowout

Get a blowout! BlownAway is offering 20% off blowouts the day of the event. They will come to your house so you can drink champs and tell your roommate about how you’re still scared your spray tan will turn orange. The volume you will get from it will give you Disney Princess waves the entire night.
3. Red Dress

Nothing is chicer on than a red evening gown and this is my favorite one. The deep v is slimming and  open back allow you to wear your hair down!

  1. Great list! My “must-have” for events are false eyelashes! I love that you chose a red dress – I’m looking for two gala gowns, and I can’t bring myself to do another black and/or lace dress. Hope that you have a blast 🙂
