We all have our go-to shops.
One for sweaters. One for an inexpensive gift. One for a dress you are convinced you’ll never wear again. Etc.
Naturally, there should be enough boutiques to go around for everyone, but I’ve had one little secret I haven’t wanted to share.
I’ve had this one saved for special dates, such as the ones I get on this site, and I’ve just acted like no one in the world knows the store exists, but they do and I’m late to the party, so I need to stop being selfish.
Paul is amazing at dates. I’m about to mortify him…oops…. He keeps a running list on his phone of every date we have ever been on [tell me that doesn’t make you die] and a list of places to take me. BUT unless I crack his phone code [which for his job is like 72 different letter and number combos] I never know where we are going! He’ll tell me to be ready by 6 and I panic.
I found Shop September in one of my frenzies and I’ve been running there every Friday since. The store is divided by “The Showroom” and “The Street.” Meaning half of the store has hard-to-find designer pieces and the other half has more seasonal trends and pieces that might be less expensive. Depending on your mood and what event you are going to, it makes it a lot less stressful trying to find exactly what you need.
I picked up this Sam & Lavi dress for our date last week and I fell in love with the fit and pattern. The dark florals carry you through fall and winter, but the flirty hem allows you to wear it all year.
Which brings me to my favorite part about Shop September, each piece Leah stocks her store with is viewed as a unique investment piece. A top or dress you wouldn’t find anywhere else, but with the quality that will allow you to not have to put it away depending upon the season.
