Valentine’s Day at Home

First and foremost, sorry this post is so picture heavy! When Kelsey sent me the file I was like, “Oh yes. That’s pink. That’s cute. It’s a doughnut, we have to post it!”
Valentine’s has become my second favorite holiday [I know I sound like a kindergartener ranking holidays, but we all do! And Easter wins in my book!] and decorating my apartment for it became an obsession. Who doesn’t need pink heart pillar candles? I don’t even know, that’s who. I ran to Target and grabbed every little artificial sugar-injected treat I could find. I love making packages for friends and family on holidays and for Valentine’s Day I made them for the little girls I babysit.
I’ve watched Ryleigh and Reese since they were itty bitty and the beauty of making them packages is I get to buy ridiculous things like unicorn erasers and Sofia the First DVDs. [Have you watched that show? I’m an adult and am addicted…] If you don’t want to buy monetary presents the dollar section at Target is perfect and throw in individually wrapped cookies, brownies, etc. Holidays don’t have to be expensive to show thoughtfulness. My favorite gifts are always the kind that come with calories.
I purchased the treat bags and 90% of my Valentine’s Decor from Paper Source. They are always my go-to for sprucing up inexpensive gifts or holiday treats. I know it’s a little late to order for Valentine’s Day, but I will link my favorite pieces from them below, too!
I hope you have a wonderful holiday with the ones you love most!
I’m also guest blogging today over at The Peak of Tres Chic, so stop by if you have a chance. 🙂

Hi Katey! I’m obsessed with your blog – I just discovered it a couple weeks ago (I know… I’m late to the party) and have been back reading!! This is a random question- but do you by chance remember where you got your little gold pedestal cake plate (cookie plate) with the glass top?? I’ve been looking for one like that forever! Thanks!
