Last week we had our one week of California weather and I ran around in tank tops and jean jackets for days. If you are a Cali girl, please adopt me. It’s about to get really sweaty and sticky in Texas. I’m dreading it.
Paul also finally told me where we are staying in Maui and I. Can’t. Wait.
I’ve never been a huge vacation person. [That sounds insanely ridiculous doesn’t? I can already hear the comments, “How spoiled can you be that you don’t like vacation?”] haha. It isn’t that, I’m just a super content person. I really like my schedule. Like I really, really, really like my schedule and traveling just kind of throws it all off. I almost requested that we only do a honeymoon for 4 days because that’s really all I can enjoy of vacation. By day 5 I’m thinking, “Okay I have 700 e-mails, I need to pick up my dry cleaning, I’m sure my house is a wreck, I need to cancel that meeting on Friday, oh and I need to follow up on that other meeting.” #entrepreneurproblems I told Paul, “I’d seriously be just as happy sitting in our living room the other 3 days.
Please tell me someone else is like me? Or am I just super Type A and kids are going to rock my freaking world?
But he convinced me to be a normal human for 7 days and now that it’s planned I’m jumping up and down like a little kid on Christmas.
He put a little post it note in my planner the other day and it was for the week of our honeymoon and he has planned everything. It says where we have reservations each day, what time we go snorkeling, when we go on a boat, etc. I thought it was the most endearing thing that he knows I’m so OCD and wanted to ease my mind about the schedule. So now, all I do is say, “I’m so excited to Maui…I should really buy this coverup, right?” haha.
Needless to say, this little tank is one of those pieces. I thought the pink lace was perfect for shorts or a skirt with dinner!
I hope you are having a great week!!

That’s so exciting!!I definitely feel the same way about vacation. Your mind is always back home and all the things you need to take care of when yo go back home, but sometimes you need a little me time! 7 days out of 365 is really not a lot, if you think of it that way.

  5. I feel the same way about vacation! I’m too Type A to have to many days with no schedule. I’m sure you’ll be having so much fun that the days will fly by.
