Work it Girl

You know how there are certain people in this world that are always talking about how much they love working out? And while they’re desperately trying to convince everyone how awesome and perfect it makes their lives you’re sitting there thinking “yeah okay, liar.”
No one LOVES working out. I despise it with every fiber of my being. Having to go get disgusting and sweaty and knowing how long it’s going to take me to do my hair afterwards gives me anxiety. But what I do love is the way working out makes me feel.
I spent the better part of my college years with a hangover that prevented me from stepping into the sunlight Friday-Sunday mornings, much less actually strapping on my tennis shoes and going for a run. Then my senior year hit and I realized that on top of the Freshman 15, I had also gained the Sophomore 15 and Junior 15 and it was time to get my butt back in shape.
I’ve been experimenting with a few different workouts over the past few months to keep myself from getting bored. I think I can actually go on Spring Break this year without feeling like I have to cover up in massive sorority tanks the whole time. So while I absolutely HATE working out, I actually do love the way it makes me feel – maybe that’s what all those crazies mean when they talk about loving to work out. And since cute workout gear is my number one motivator, I decided to share a few of my faves with y’all.

My favorite type of workout is one that is intense enough that I can get it over with quickly. If I spend too much time working out my focus shifts from how skinny I want to look at the beach and goes to how much I hate the gym
