Dolly Parton

Little secret, I love Dolly Parton. Example: Growing up after dinner I had concerts for my parents. They typically opened up with Cher’s, “Believe” then went on to Shania’s “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and ended with 5 different versions of Dolly’s, “Jolene.” I was such a good little Texas girl.
It started with her music, then I was enamored with her wigs and now in my twenties I love how blunt AND sweet she is. I think she shows that being a kind-hearted and compassionate woman doesn’t mean sacrificing saying what you truly think.
Needless to say, when I saw this top I grabbed it like it was about to disappear with no shame.
So go ahead and dig down into your dresser and pull out all the concert tees you bought. Don’t lie. You get to the concert and you’re like, “I would NEVER spend $60 on a Britney Spears t-shirt I will just sleep in.” Then after she performed Toxic you went crazy and bought 4.
You CAN wear these. Just pair them with fitted jeans and bright heels for a date night. If you have no idea what to wear for a first date (and it isn’t too dressy!) put together an ensemble like this. Because what else will you talk about after you discuss where you went to college? Welcome to your literal-built-in ice breaker.
Happy concert tee-ing!

  1. I absolutely love this look! The pop of bright pink and the oversized concert tee make for a unique pairing that totally works! I’m a sucker for edgy-girly combos!

  2. I use to perform the same post-dinner concerts, but with Reba McEntire songs. Hahaha. I love the Dolly tee & love your look! I’m sure Dolly would approve of those hot pink heels 😉
