Available Apartment

Sometimes men don’t think.
“Hey, babe. Should I resign my lease for 12 months?”
“Oh yeah, you should totally resign your lease.”
Proposal a few weeks later.
Suggestion we have a short engagement .2 seconds after that.
Makes complete sense!
In a few weeks I’ll be moving into our married home [haven’t brought it up, too scared to even breathe a word and jinx anything!] before he does when we get married. My lease is until December. I went to talk to my office and they are so amazing. They know I’m a blogger and we were discussing options on breaking my lease. We just came to the decision that it would be easier if I allowed a friend/reader/anyone the opportunity to lease out my apartment when I move out.
Why the heck would you lease my apartment instead of just getting your own, like those canary wharf flats to rent?
1. My floor plan is kind of made for a bachelorette pad. My walk in closet is a really great size and the other one bedrooms have closets that are 1/4th the size. Some of my girlfriends live here and get so angry when they walk in mine. #sorrycharlie
2. I get a lot of e-mails asking where I live/about my home decor. I’ve actually gotten e-mails asking if I would ever be interested in leasing it out because they liked the floor plan so much, so I figured I would share it’s availability and see what happens!
3. I’m really open to giving you furniture/decor items for free if you take over my lease. I won’t be bringing my couch/coffee table/my floral print/console/random pink items with me. I posted on my personal Facebook last week I’d be moving and so many of my girlfriends wanted some of my furniture/decor. I felt this might just be a really great option if you are moving in and wanted them for yourself!  At this point I may even “forget” some YSL heels in the closet because I just want the peace of mind knowing this has been taken care of.
I live in the Uptown/West Village area, but if you are seriously interested please e-mail me for apartment info! My location is great whether you go to SMU, work in downtown or even work in surrounding cities. From where I live it only takes 35 minutes to get to Fort Worth and 10 seconds to get to Northpark.
I’m moving out end of April/beginning of May so I would love if someone moved in in May! After one month of living here the lease will be resigned to fully go in your name [the first month you would be a sublease] and you have the option to choose whichever term period you prefer!
If you aren’t moving until the summer I’m open to discussing options, too! Please send serious inquiries to kateymcfarlan@gmail.com.
If you would like to see more photos of my apartment head to my Pinterest!

LOL at Paul telling you to resign your lease; he really wanted to make sure you were surprised when he asked! I’m currently looking for a job in Dallas and I really wish I had one lined up now so I could move in
