I’m sure when people think of me they think, “Oh yeah. Blogger. Loves pink. Decorates a lot. Eats Mexican Food way too much.”
All are true, but if I’m being honest I am way more obsessed with lavender than I am with any other shade. I have to withhold myself. I would wear lavender lipstick, lavender blush and live in a lavender house. [Clinique Pansy Pop is the PERFECT lavender blush, FYI. Because I’ve spent about half a home and my future child’s college tuition on trying different ones out.]
I’m convinced lavender is the Jesus of color choices. It has come to accept all and doesn’t judge. Put it on a blonde, put it on brunette it always compliments!
I’ve been on a dress kick lately, and I got this one from BCBGeneration. It’s a little swing dress and the floral print “matures” the baby lavender shade. I paired it with my favorite way to go #noheatinjuly, these braids! If you want a tutorial let me know. 🙂

Love this Katey! I don’t think your obsession are crazy. Don’t you worry girl. You have a man locked down that loves those things so consider yourself lucky! 😛 I haven’t seen much lavender around but I am on the lookout now. I also love those braids! Seriously whenever I try this, I look like I’m about to serve pitchers of beer and sausages in Germany. Darn.

I’ve been loving the braids you’ve been wearing lately. I’m in Plano and this heat/humidity does a number on my hair. It seems braids are the only thing that tames this lioness. Happy Wednesday!
