Can we just take one moment to discuss something?

HOW THA HECK IS IT AUGUST 21ST?!

HOW?!

I always joke that I love Q4 haha! October through December are my favorite months in Texas because we get amazing weather. It’s 50-60 degrees. No ice. And sunny! Once we hit the end of August I have to start dressing seasonally and yet it is still 104 out.

To combat that I try to wear darker, easy dresses. I loved this one and I’m such a fan of Free People sizing. They get it. Nothing is too too tight and yet it is all true to size. I wear it with wedges on a date night, or flats if I’m running errands!

One thing I thought I would miss about Dallas was date nights. I worked in restaurant PR for a few years in Dallas and so I always got excited when a new restaurant opened and we always had a list of places we had never tried. I knew moving back to where I grew up I would have been to a lot of places already and didn’t want Paul and I to get stuck in ruts of the same old same old! But I’ve found that I almost enjoy it more. We go downtown for most of our dates and afterwards we will just walk for an hour peeking in restaurants and hotels to see if we have eaten there before. I wore this dress while we did that one night last week and it was so much fun writing down places in our phones we knew we had to try. It’s a little challenge and we end up making the most memories finding these little spots.
