I shared earlier this week that I’m a firm believer in dressing up some leggings for the holiday! I like to add in a trendy piece of outerwear, whether it be a moto jacket or fringe jacket like this to make my look not reminiscent of lounge wear. I wanted to share another option with you this week for your holiday style in case you love a good neutral look just as much as I do!

Last weekend we got to take a little weekend getaway trip to Scottsdale and I absolutely fell in love with the city! My parents and sister love Scottsdale [it was their getaway spot while I was in college/post grad and couldn’t take vacation days at my job, yet] but I had no clue how beautiful this city was. My sister is incredibly athletic and loves the outdoors! She runs half marathons and would spend all of her time hiking if she could. So I knew Scottsdale would have lots of outdoor activities, but I wasn’t sure if there would be much for Paul and I to do on a weekend we were there for a wedding. Scottsdale is my kind of heaven! Not only is it stunning and has no humidity [my hair behaved!] but the restaurants, shops and areas to just walk around while you sip coffee are like I’ve never seen before. I lived in Dallas right by Highland Park Village for years, which is known for some of the best shopping, and yet I’ve never seen this many shops and shopping centers in my life. I think Paul could have dropped me off  and picked me up in two weeks and I would have been a happy camper, haha!

But what I loved most about Scottsdale was how effortlessly chic every girl’s look was! I saw so many all black ensembles that incorporated leggings and yet they didn’t look like they had just worked out! It definitely made me want to wear some more black and white looks, which is exactly how I think this look from Zappos feels! It’s comfortable for the holidays and whatever post lunch nap you may take, but you’ll still feel great for family photos and if your family invites friends over!

Zappos allowed me to pick up a few pieces for the holidays to style and I was so excited because I’ve had my eye on this fringe jacket for over a month! I’m always bookmarking wish list pieces and this was at the top of the list. I have shared before how I love the amount of inventory Zappos has [more options is always better!] and this definitely is seen in their outerwear. You can grab anything from a jacket for a ski trip to a trendy little fringe piece like this! You can get this jacket here.

They also have a ton of booties. I’m already starting to feel like stores are running out of product in terms of boots and winter footwear. I was actually e-mailing a bride back today about some open-toed booties she needed for a bridal shower and was getting so frustrated! I was only finding designer ones for $950 on another retailer’s site! I was like, “Ummmm, no ma’am. We just need some booties. Not rent in a shoe.”

I picked up these Joie booties here and fell in love with the color. I actually had wanted to get a new pair of brown and black booties because they ones I had from last year have such a high arch and were killing my feet  only two hours in. But once I saw this sand color of booties, I decided to grab these because it would work with both black and brown looks. But Zappos has tons of booties from my favorite brands like Sam Edelman! His boots last for years without wear and aren’t too pricey at all.

So if you love a little all black ensemble for the holidays or prefer edgy over girly, this fringe jacket from Zappos is perfect for your holiday style this season and these booties lighten up the whole look so your grandma doesn’t have a long Thanksgiving conversation with you asking if you have turned “goth.” haha!

Have a wonderful Thursday, y’all! Thanks so much for stopping by! And if you’re from Scottsdale, feel free to let me move in with you! 😉
