I had to title this blog post as “off-the-shoulder under $50” because this has been a running joke between Paul and I for the entire season!

One part of blogging you may or may not know about is the analytics part. There are a lot of programs that we use to measure analytics and see what you are and aren’t interested in! If I were to do a campaign with a brand that sells bakeware and you only spent 10 seconds on that blog post, that would tell me I wasn’t giving you the kind of content that you want and expect from this blog! I definitely don’t just wake up and think, “Love this! They should love it to!” haha. That would be so silly and vain of me! So Paul and I research a lot of trends, pricing points and web time so we are able to make sure that COF is giving you what you want.

We do this a numerous amount of ways through google analytics but one easy way we also do is through focus groups and surveys. Paul was working on it one night reading answers and he said, “Babe, did you know that your readers really like off-the-shoulder tops under $50?”

I started cracking up because he has no clue what that is and I answered and said, “Um yeah, babe! Every girl does!”

So now anytime we go shopping and I ask if I can go in a store [I don’t want to make him wait around if he doesn’t want to!] he laughs and says, “Is it because you’re trying to find off-the-shoulder under $50?”

I’m still not sure if he knows that that kind of top is, but I knew I had to title this blog post as it since it really is! haha.

Another little thing you may or may not know about me is I get these visions of outfits in my head and I’m not even sure if they exist! For example, when I went prom dress shopping way back in the day I told my mom what I pictured in my head and we just worked around that. I wanted a structured off-the-soulder top that was flowy too and had had it on my mind for ages! Typically off-the-shoulder is more bohemian and that’s not structured, add flowy in the mix and it just doesn’t make sense, Katey!

But this is it! I tried it on the other day and was so excited because I knew my mind wasn’t just making things up! haha. It’s also $42 which isn’t half bad either! 🙂

I hope you have a great rest of your day and that you find all the off-the-shoulder under $50 your heart desires!

Girl, I do the SAME thing! I envision a particular piece and ask myself all the time, ‘do they even MAKE that?” I sometimes wonder if I should have become a clothing designer with all of clothing visions I have! 🙂 And please tell Paul that YES, ALL girls need an off-the-shoulder top under $50! It’s a wardrobe staple;)
