Happy Tuesday! One thing that’s really fun about my job is that I get to have two different aspects of it when it comes to meetings. When I’m up in NYC meeting with brands for campaigns or fashion week, I get to wear whatever it is I’m wearing to shows. If that means a sequined pink dress, that means a sequined pink dress. The more true to your branding, the better. However, when I’m back in Texas my meetings are a little more laid back and I may be meeting with a web designer, a public relations rep for a brand or someone starting up a new line. I usually grab a printed skirt and a button up, but I haven’t really found a skirt to work with a baby bump quiet yet, but I’ve loved what I have found!
I shared last week how much I’m loving styling these Monrow dresses. I grabbed the black version and pair it with a textured blazer and booties for meetings here in Dallas. I stay true to my style with layered necklaces, but nothing too loud or distracting. I typically also take a larger tote because on days I head to Dallas for meetings I’ll need my laptop, notepad, planner, etc. The perfect thing about these dresses is that they can instantly transform into something more athleisure with sneakers, which will still remain a strong trend in 2017!
However, a lot of my meetings are over Skype or conference calls! Naturally, I spend a lot of time in my office writing, planning and answering e-mails. I’m pretty particular about the music I listen to while I work. It has to be upbeat enough to keep me energized, but can’t distract me from writing or even working on my website. Here’s my current playlist that I keep on repeat throughout the day!
