This fall think velvet, velvet and more velvet. But truly, velvet is my favorite trend for Fall 2017! Today I’m sharing my personal picks for fall as well as major trends you’ll be seeing throughout the season. I tried to keep this board as realistic as possible by incorporating general fall finds as well! Fall will always be a friend to floppy hats, neutral tones and suede paired with faux fur.

Fall 2017 Trends

Red

Red is the color for fall and while it’s intimidating, I say throw it on your nails and you’ll feel perfectly on trend! My trick for a red mani is to keep nails short.

All About The Waist.

Cue the Topshop Peplum Jacket above.

Sleeve Details.

Fall Florals.

Velvet.

Glitter Boots.

These are quite major and from J.Crew. They are a bit out of my comfort zone, but I think they would be fun to rock with boyfriend jeans.

Midi Skirts.

What is your favorite trend for the season ahead?!

I’m SO nervous today as I’m speaking on a panel for Polished at a luncheon this afternoon. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m painfully shy and seriously rethink EVERYTHING I say after I publicly speak or meet someone for the first time. I’ll meet someone at dinner, then 3 hours later in the car ride home I’ll ask my husband, “Was I awkward? Do you think they knew I was excited to meet them?”

So many people think I’m not shy and I think a lot of that is my background in PR and having to mix/mingle for work. But it’s funny because my mom and her friends know a million stories to make fun of me for it. For example, when I was in 6th grade I had to speak in front of our church and I had hives for TWO hours before. I literally had to speak for like a minute and grew up in this church my entire life. My dad photographed it of course and in each photo I’ve got hives the size of Texas on my arm. So hopefully I don’t get hives today! 😉

I’ll let you all know how it goes! Have a wonderful day!

  4. I feel your pain! I am definitely shy when I first meet someone and if I have to speak in front of a large crowd. But once I get to know you then I’m fine and act more myself. Good luck!! xoxo

I’m the same way! I over analyze things I say to people when I meet them or even people I know when I randomly run into them. I try to remind myself people probably don’t think twice about the things I say; I’m not that important haha!
