Your Favorite Look from Last Week

The Details

Dress {wearing size s} | Duster | Booties | Bag, Similar

Does this look like an ad for a law office or what?! 😉 haha. These are the awkward moments of shooting looks for blogs.

Y’all absolutely loved this look that I shared on Instagram last week, so I wanted to do a blog post recapping all the outfit details!

This wrap dress is on sale for under $40 and the perfect gray color. It’s comfortable, thick enough to feel lined and super flattering. I’m wearing a size “S” and am 5’3″. I will note, that it is more fitted in the hip area. I’m not super curvy there, I have more broad shoulders. If you are curvier there, I would size up one size. But this dress does really stretch and if I were pregnant, I think this would work up to a 4 or 5-month bump, too!

Just like in yesterday’s post, I love to make sure my fits are balanced. I paired this fitted dress with a duster, which felt more comfortable. This printed duster has blues, grays, and black which is perfect for fall. It also has a slit in the back which makes this really easy to run errands in. It was pouring rain in Dallas all Tuesday and because of the way this moves with the slits, this never got wet.

I’ve been wearing dusters a lot lately as they are perfect for transitional weather and make my look feel way more pulled together than it is. This is what I wore to the TCU game last week.

Duster | Denim {fits TTS} | Old Top {similar} | Sandals {size up} | Sunglasses

Other Dusters I Love for Fall:

  • The prettiest pink color you can wear in spring, as well.
  • Clearly, I’ve never met an animal print I didn’t like. This duster is no exception.
  • I am so into this velvet one! This would be beautiful for family photos.
  • This is a really pretty Autumn hue and a great price under $25.

Thanks so much for reading!

  1. I love both the plain and printed dusters you’re wearing in this post, Katey! I need to get one myself (though it’s proved difficult sl far since I’m so short, haha)! 🙂

Whenever I wear a duster I feel like I look like I’m wearing a bathrobe. What’s your key to looking put together wearing one?

Oh girl you can totally rock one! I think the key for me is keeping it simple underneath {like my all black look} or wearing something more fitted. If I wear blue denim and then a colorful top and then a duster, it just feels like a lot going on for me, and I think that is when it feels like the duster can be so overpowering. xx, Katey

OMG your bag!!! I am obsessed! I’ve been wanting to buy this bag forever, but I am scared the luggage will become discontinued under Hedi Slimane
