3 Looks to Try for Your Next Girls’ Night

How often do you get together with your girls? On Labor Day, I saw a post that talked about things you should try to do each month: read one book, have lunch with a friend, get in two date nights, etc. I love the schedule of it and how nice that list is to follow, but of course, I forgot to screenshot it. And after creeping through everyone on my Instagram feed 14 times over, I still cannot find the post.

As I was scrolling for what felt like ages, it got me thinking about plans with your girlfriends and what to wear during this transitional season! It’s still 100-degrees this week, but my mind is OFF eyelet dresses and on printed dusters and denim. But what if you have not time to get “dolled up” and just want to throw on jeans? Or what if you want to repurpose a piece from the office to a movie? Today, I’m pulling three looks you can try to recreate for your next girls’ night whether you’re seeing a movie, toasting with martinis, or enjoying a new restaurant. You’ll probably be able to recreate most of this in your closet, but if you need to shop a sequin top or two, everything is linked below! I challenge you tonight to go through your closet, take inventory, and try to create 3 looks for your next girls’ night!

If you’re trying a hip new restaurant, but don’t have time to get ready this look is for you. Skip shaving your legs and throw your hair in a ponytail. Toss on your favorite jeans, a PINK heel, and a sequin top. The denim will tone down the look of full-on sequins and a ponytail gives it a less girly, more edgy vibe. I added my favorite star earrings and I was ready in five minutes.

Want to repurpose your fun summer coverup you wear over your bikini to the pool? Here’s how to do it! Tuck a white tank into high-waisted jeans, throw on mules, and toss on your duster. This is one I had for vacation, but this one gives you the look for less, too. I also love this blush one! Target always has tanks similar to the one I have on, so be sure to check there on your next Target run. I would wear this for a dressy Happy Hour or to an art gallery with girlfriends. I love an early girls’ night or date night- my dream is to always be in bed by 8:30. 😉 And this outfit transitions so easily from day to night. If you just had the tank and jeans and sneakers on, you just swap out shoes and throw on your top.

Want to incorporate a piece or two from your work wardrobe? Take a leopard dress {on trend for fall!} and throw on your summer mules and a lighter blazer. If you’re headed to see a movie, this is a great option because you can stay warm with your blazer but not feel like you’re wearing a fall jacket while it’s still summer temperatures.

What do you like to do for girls’ night?! My best friend, Taylor, {she was also my maid of honor with my sister} is coming to stay with us this weekend! Our friend, Britany, is redoing her website and so she asked if we could help her with the shoot on Monday. Taylor lives in Midland, so she’s coming in for the shoot and to stay with us. We’ll get to enjoy a little girls’ night on Sunday evening, so I can’t wait to wear one of these looks!
