What to Wear to a Fall/Winter Wedding

The Details

I may be partial to a fall or winter wedding as we had our wedding at the end of September. I love thinking back to all of our exciting newlywed moments in those following months and so I always view a wedding around the holidays as extra romantic. Now shopping for a fall or winter wedding can be another story. Will all black be boring? How will I stay warm? Is the red rule dated? How do I avoid matching bridesmaids? Are they getting married at 4 to avoid the darkness of Daylight Savings or is that a hint that it’s less formal?

It’s normal to have all these thoughts and more while finding an appropriate dress, so today I wanted to link up some of my favorite wedding-guest looks for this time of year. I love mauve, black, emerald, or metallic as you can see! I think a cranberry can be gorgeous, as well. Grab a faux fur wrap, a wrap coat, and you should be warm enough walking to and from the car or transportation. Let’s get to some of my favorite selects.

Nine is the dress I always recommend for my friends with fall weddings! Now online it says it runs small, I do not agree! I’ve had 4 or 5 girlfriends buy this for weddings and they, too, agree it runs true to size. This is an older snap of me wearing it, but hopefully, it helps for reference. I’ve also worn it with black tights and Valentino pumps for a wedding.

If you are a fan of the sequin wrap dress as much as I am {perfect for a NYE wedding or event!}, get this look for less here. I’ve tried it on in-store and LOVED it!

Which one is your favorite?! I’m off to get our house FULLY in order as I’m hosting my sister’s birthday party tomorrow. I’m so excited to have all her friends in our home as it is decorated for the holidays, so I’ll be sure to share it with you all. Thank you so much for reading!
