Fall Date Night Look

The Details

Dress | Booties | Bag | Hoops | Headband

From my wardrobe to my home, I’m all about mixing high and low. And when it comes to finding those luxury pieces I buy that will last longer than most Hollywood marriages, I have one true love: Neiman Marcus.

I’m equally giddy and honored to be partnering with them today to share a fall look I purchased there. From purchasing my wedding shoes to a teeny little Burberry dress I used to tell Paul we were having a girl, while pregnant with Maxi, Neiman Marcus has a soft spot in my heart. And thanks to our proximity to their store in Fort Worth, my 4-year-old tells everyone popovers and strawberry butter are her favorite food. I mean, same. 😉

At our store in Fort Worth, when you walk in you immediately see the shoes. I have to bat my eyes to make it upstairs for a lunch reservation without coveting something before noon. But that’s how I came across these Valentino booties. They run TTS {I did not size up} and the rubber sole on the bottom gives me relief to know these will last and not show wear as easily. The heel is the perfect thickness to feel sturdy carrying a chunky toddler, too. Oh, how shoe priorities have changed…

I usually break all design rules in my home like in my wardrobe. I’ll center an outfit or room around accessories. So with these booties, comes the tweed bag. I don’t have a handbag with a texture like this and I think it will both soften and elevate all types of looks. But the best part is it massive. I’m talking you can fit 4 diapers and a Huggies pack of wipes in there with room to spare. Since you know I’m #TeamNoDiaperBag.

But booties and bags aside, if you’re here for the fall date night dress, let’s discuss details. It’s Cinq a Sept and a high-low dress. The sleeve details are what stood out to me the most as I always think a large sleeve is chic. You can add booties or over-the-knee boots and a faux fur vest as it gets chillier. It runs a little large, be sure to size down. And if you have a bump, it is totally bump-friendly! Personally, I love that the dress is neutral but has a berry undertone. Sometimes nudes and tans can really wash me out being fair and blonde. This berry brightens everything up and it doesn’t make me feel too washed out!

The entire look together gives me a fall date night look that works as well for dinner and a movie as it does for Thanksgiving dinner with family. You can shop it all at Neiman Marcus. Which part of your look is your favorite?
