A Maxi Dress For the Holiday Season

The Details

Maxi Dress {wearing xs} | Sandals | Hoops {old Walmart} | In partnership with Walmart. All purchases and opinions are my own.

If this isn’t a sign I can’t go a few days without wearing leopard print, I don’t know what is. 😉 Last week, I had shared some leopard cardigans and jackets and this week, we are talking a walk on the dressier side with this animal-spotted maxi dress which may be just as gorgeous as those 2023 cute short prom dresses. It’s a piece you can wear year-round but specifically screams holiday to me. Whether you rock the dress with platform wedges in fall or knee-high heeled-boots to a party, it’s one that will have your friends asking, “WAIT, where did you get that?

This dress is a Walmart number and it is by one of their newly exclusive brands that my girlfriends have been talking about since summer. You can shop the Scoop brand here and I’ll pull a few of my favorites below.

The quality of this dress is lovely as it is lined, so doesn’t feel thin like a traditional maxi dress would. I think it runs pretty true to size, as I’m 5’3″ and wearing an xs and have no issue with length. I could wear this easily with booties or any flat shoes. The hoops I have on are from Walmart back in the spring, so they are no longer sold. However, this style would give you the same look- or you could pair this dress with something a little shinier for the holidays.

I think the nice thing about selecting dresses this time of year, is as long as the fabric isn’t one for summer or spring, you can really get away with whatever you like. I find really nice dresses and pakistani clothes uk online. A mini dress can be paired with tights. A leopard maxi could be worn with a faux-fur jacket. You can go all glam, or simplistic with minimal makeup and a red lip.

We shot these photos in our bedroom and it reminds me, I need to find shams for ours! I gave the ruffled pink ones to Maxi for her big-girl bed, which was always sort of the intent when purchasing them. Now I’m torn if I should get shams the color of our duvet, or go bold with a print like this dress? We will be doing a neutral grasscloth wallpaper behind the headboard just to give the room more texture as the master is so wide and needs a little somethin’- somethin’ extra. I loved the texture of velvet on linen, but what would you do? Neutral or bold?

Have a great Tuesday!
