When building an effortless wardrobe a few things come to mind: ballet flats, neutral pumps, a good pair of denim and a fitted blazer. So many times blazers add bulk or a have a boxy cut. When I graduated college and had to stock up on blazers, I fell in love with the Regent Blazer from J.Crew. I have it in the warm camel shade and would love to invest in a brighter color, too!

This one works well for work and play! It is made from a stretch wool so it is fitted while giving you form and yet has a proper material for any work environment. I love to throw it over tank tops for date nights and dresses up a look for dinner.

I paired this look with the Uptown Mini Satchel from Henri Bendel. I had the large satchel a few years back and absolutely LOVED the shape! It got damaged in the move [my guilty husband might have put it in the bottom of a box with cleaning supplies…..] and I was so upset about it. I loved how the shape resembled a Birkin-esque structure so your products never sunk to the bottom of your bag, yet it is wide enough to fit plenty of goods. However, I love a good mini bag. Sometimes I have a hard time buying larger bags because I think, “Oh well, I already have a big black satchel. I already have a tan satchel. Etc.” But I do not have that problem with mini bags! haha! They all look so different to me, and the great thing about this one is it legitimately fits your wallet, phone, keys and lipstick without feeling like the bag is going to break. It’s not too small whatsoever, but still keeps a unique shape. It also has pebbled leather so it is scratch proof!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Amazing look! There is a comment on the J. Crew website that the Regent blazer’s collar does not fold down, but that doesn’t seem to be the case in your photos. Was yours something altered after the fact or is that commenter off her rocker?
