The Weekend Dress 2 Ways

With Athleisure being a huge trend the past 2 years it’s no secret girls just want to be comfortable! I’ve been on the hunt for a comfortable dress that is also conservative if you’re chasing toddlers or if you’re taller. I found it. I call it my “magic” weekend dress because it feels like you are wearing sweatpants as it is a french terry dress. You could sleep in this thing. Frequently. That’s how soft it is. It runs pretty large, so definitely go down one size or if you’re shorter than me I recommend going down 2 sizes. I love to share tie front dresses on the blog because they are so incredibly versatile. If you’re pregnant, tie front dresses can loosen up and grow with your bump or if you need to make the dress smaller you can, dependent upon how tight you tie it. With this dress you absolutely get your money’s worth, so I figured it would be most helpful to style it two ways with different accessories to give you some inspiration with your closet! You can purchase both looks at Nordstrom and feel safe on sizing because #freeshipping #freereturns. My two favorite phrases…

Brunch With The Girls

If you’re headed to brunch with the girls, toss your hair in a ponytail, grab your aviators and get some height with wedges. Just like athleisure, statement wedges aren’t going anywhere. They’ve been a huge trend and I’ve always felt Nordstrom has the best selection. Two springs ago, I purchased these. I wanted to add a darker hue to my collection and this year I purchased this pair by Pour La Victoire. The raffia stitching is my favorite accent. I found these ran a bit more narrow and so I just went up half a size and had no issue. My sister adored these wedges so much that I surprised her with a pair, as well. So I think whether you’re a college student or mom like me, you can find a lot of places to wear these to. For brunch you definitely want to whip out a statement bag and the Gucci Soho Leather Disco Bag isn’t going anywhere any time soon. If you want a pop of color for less, I recommend this bag. The gold chain detailing is my favorite!

Busy With Errands

From grocery shopping to picking up dry cleaning, I reached for a flat sandal. I’m 5’3″ and so sometimes I think flat sandals make me feel a bit more, well…short. However, these sandals by Rebecca Minkoff lace up and give the illusion that they have a little height on them. My photographer, Angie, kept thinking they had a higher heel. She has shot every sandal I’ve worn the past 4 years so for her to think these had a little heel, I knew they worked well for my height. I kept this look more neutral with the traditional Gucci canvas for my bag {stolen borrowed from my mom}, but this budget-friendly option by Sole Society would give you the same look!

So while sundresses are out on the shelves and we are dreaming of warmer days, try adding a dress to your weekend wear that truly feels like pajamas. Which look is your favorite?

Dress: Vince Camuto {runs large, wearing XS, I’m 5’3″ and it’s longer on me so great for tall girls!} | Sandals: Rebecca Minkoff {TTS} | Wedges: PLV {run small and narrow, went up half a size} | Aviators: Ray Ban | Sunglasses: Gucci | Red Bag: Gucci, Similar | Brown Bag: Gucci, Similar | Earrings: Tory Burch | Lipstick: Pink Moscato Liner
