On NYE, I went over to my friend Bekah’s house while she hosted a dinner party for our friends. Bekah is the most laid-back person, but when she throws a party….there are no paper plates if you know what I mean. The silver. The good champagne. It ALL comes out. Basically, you feel like you left a vacation dinner when you leave a dinner party she hosts. Anyways, I’m just staring at all the beautiful details and wondering how she threw a dinner party together like this in an entire day {while caring for her toddler, mind you}- and then something distracted me: her lucite clutch.

Perched on top of her closet is the most fabulous lucite clutch you’ve ever seen with her name in script. I’d had a lucite clutch before, but nothing this major. I made a mental note that lucite clutches were the most fabulous clutches to own and then forgot about it later on.

Two weeks later, I popped into Lola + Lina {a fabulous earring boutique in FW} and saw a row of lucite clutches. Like, stop you in your tracks, lucite clutches. I instinctively bought the “Be Kind” one as I’m a pink fan {no shocker there} and who doesn’t want to promote a little kindness with their look?! Then the addiction deepened and I got the multicolored lip one- we actually just did a giveaway with it last week! To subdue the guilt with my newfound clutch obsession, I decided to share how I’d style them two ways!

The traditional way in which you might think to wear this clutch would be with a cocktail dress. But take that natural pairing one step further and pair a cheeky lucite clutch with a floral dress. I think the juxtaposition in styles is nice so you can balance out a feminine frock with something flirty like a lip-print clutch. My personal favorite way to style a lucite clutch is with boyfriend jeans, sandals, a tee, and a blazer. This screams happy hour with your girlfriends or a more relaxed date night- like dinner and a coffee date.
