A Week in #OOTDS

Top , Similar, Similar | Shorts {wearing P}, Similar Shorts | Rug | Bag, Similar Bag | iPhone Case | Socket

TGIF, girlfriends! Right now, I’m actually on a flight for a very quick 36 hour trip to California. My girlfriend, Amy Beth, turned 30 yesterday! Her family is throwing her a party and she wanted me to be there, so I was thrilled I could go celebrate her. It worked out perfectly that Paul was able to take off work today to have a little daddy/daughter time with Maxi!

For today’s post, I wanted to share a week in outfits. It’s a pretty casual post as I snapped these photos before I’d leave the house, but you all enjoyed this diary so it gave me the idea! This look above is what I wore last Monday. It feels like you are wearing pajamas- which I love, but the bow on the shorts makes it appear dressier than it actually is. This top is pretty much sold out {or may be when this goes live!} but this is another similar option for less.

Top | Jeans | Flats | Earrings | Bag, Similar

Last Tuesday, we had a “Maxi” day. She had been teething the night before, so when I woke up I canceled my work plans and took her to do her favorite things. We went to Barnes and Noble and read books, which reminded me of summers as a child. Then, we met Paul for lunch that afternoon. After that, we went to the park and then we went to Old Navy and we got her the cutest little jelly shoes {out of stock online}. Okay, maybe I really enjoy going to shop for her, but she likes to play with shoes, too! ha! I picked up this top for $19 there, which I love! I’ll tuck it in printed shorts for summer. We finished the day at dinner with her Godfather, Austin, and his beautiful new bride, Elizabeth. It was just what we needed that day. 🙂

Gingham Top {runs large} | Shorts | Necklace | Bracelet | Watch | Shoes | Rug

This top is one I picked up during the Shopbop sale a few weeks ago. I had a long day of computer work to get caught up on so I wore that paired with some white jeans and a low bun. This top does run larger, so be sure to size down!

Romper | Earrings {Sold Out}, Similar | Bag, Similar Bag | Phone Case | Rug

Last Thursday I had a hair appointment and wore this romper. It’s starting to get so much warmer here and a printed romper is a great little option for staying cooler, but not resorting to shorts and a tank. I had used my Dyson Diffuser on my hair after my shower and I’m still not fully convinced on the look. I have naturally wavy hair, but the top layer doesn’t curl, so I’m always trying to use products to give me beach waves post shower. I believe whatever I used was a fail here. haha. I seriously feel like I have tried everything and I can’t find THE perfect product for beach waves!

Top {wearing xs} | Tank | Jeans | Mules, Similar Mules | Backpack |  Sunglasses | Necklace

This is what I wore Friday during the day! It’s an example of how I love to mix high and low together. I snagged the top at Target while getting a few things and then the mules are a designer splurge. However, you could easily recreate this look at whatever price point since mules are so popular.

Skirt {wearing xs} | Tank | Shoes | Bag

Friday evening was so bittersweet! My girlfriend, Lynsey, and her husband are moving to Florida for his job. He works in baseball, so thankfully they will be back in the offseason. We all met up to see them off, and it was fun to see old friends from college. Lynsey is seriously the BEST hostess- half my tricks I get from her. She would throw the most extravagant dinners for friends in college and post-grad. They are always themed perfectly, I’m talking she will do “Laguna Beach” themed dinners where we watch the episodes. She does Galentine’s Day every year, Friendsgiving, the works! She’s just naturally a “server” to others. Whenever she comes over now she’s like, “Just clean or do whatever you need, I’ll play with Maxi.” Our sorority sister is getting married this summer, so she is going to stay at our house for the wedding. At the party she kept saying, “Okay, you better make plans to go get a manicure or run errands, because I’ll be at the house and will take care of Maxi for you.” Aren’t friends like that the best?! It’s such a good reminder to always serve others when you can!

Leggings | Sports bra | Tank | Slides

Saturday morning Paul surprised me with a massage for Mother’s Day! I ran off during Maxi’s nap and got pampered, hence my casual look. After that we went to eat and strolled Maxi around the Clearfork area.

Headband | Jeans | Kimono | Tank, Similar | Shoes | Bracelets | Bag

For Mother’s Day dinner, I stepped out of my comfort zone with this look and I loved it! The headband situation was my fave and now I want to buy 15 of them for summer! haha. It hid my dirty hair, perfectly. 😉

I hope these looks give you some ideas when you need something quick and easy or just a bit more casual than what I usually share. Have a fabulous weekend!

  1. I love how simple but chic your looks are, Katey. My favourite is the yellow skirt – that shade of yellow is beautiful and perfect! 😀

Hi, Katey! Love that kimono and the Target top. Would you recommend the Target top? I always struggle to find cute blouses or tops that aren’t tees.

Hi Ellen! YES! I’m obsessed! You do need to wear a cami under it because of the eyelet, but I want to order it in white, too. My store didn’t have the white in my size, but it’s so good! xo, Katey
