Eight Things to Grab from the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale

Fiesta Stretch Dress {On sale for $59!}

*the face you make when you are so giddy to get a first look at Reese Witherspoon’s new book!*

Amory Silk Dress {On sale! I have pink and am going to get white.}

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a lovely weekend. After lots and lots of rain, we were able to spend all day yesterday outside. We went on a few walks, took Maxi to the park, and she LOVED the slides! I thought she might be a little nervous doing it by herself but she smiled the entire time and kept saying, “Yes!” when she made it down. She also started to say, “Don’t” and “Sure” over the weekend. It was hilarious. We kept asking her questions and she’d say, “Sure! Sure! Sure!” and shrug her shoulders. The weekend started with a trip to Lilly Pulitzer, where they let me shop the sale early so I could share my purchases with you all. Let’s get to it!

If you’re a Lilly fan, the After Party Sale is no secret. It’s a printed lover’s holiday that happens twice a year and today the sale is live! This sale starts Monday, September 10th at 8 am and ends this Wednesday, September 12th at midnight EST. Don’t forget, you need an account to shop here. You can make that here. Now don’t worry about the “line” when you go to the sale. The virtual line is to help Lilly avoid site crashes, which I think we can all appreciate with how common that is with big sales. Don’t refresh your page once in line, you’ll lose your spot. Once you are in, you’ll shop, then be placed in line to check out. Don’t stress about all the waiting- they do a lot to ensure that we all get a pick at the merchandise we want. Now make note, that all sales are final in the After Party Sale. So I’ll be sharing what size I got in everything so you can compare. I’m 5’3″ if that helps compare in your sizing! In Lilly, I think things run TTS, but larger in tops and in some dresses. When in doubt, I would order your normal size, but below I’ll share what sizes I usually am in Lilly. The last thing I should make note of, is that your confirmation e-mail may come a few hours after you purchase just because so many people are purchasing during the sale. Now go enjoy your free shipping!

Lilly Sizing

You can see their perfect fit finder here.
My sizing for help with comparison:
I’m 5’3″ and a size 24 or 25 in denim and a 34B.
Lilly Dresses: 0 or XS
Lilly Tops: XS
Lilly Sweaters or Cardigans: S
Lilly Shift Dresses: 00 or XS
Lilly Rompers: XS or S {I find the “wrap” rompers to run short and I get a S.}

Lilly Pulitzer invited me to go in and shop the sale and do a try-on haul with my items to help you get an idea of fit! Here’s what I loved.

1.Mila Shift Dress in Sea Salt Tint

Wearing size 0

I’ll post a video to my Insta Stories today where you can see the details of this dress, but oh my goodness- it is stunning. You feel like a modern-day Little Mermaid with the embellished shells on the side! To me, this dress honestly looks like a stunning vintage find. I think I’ll wear this to my girlfriend Taylor’s wedding reception. She eloped last month and is doing a reception for all her friends this fall.

2.Lana Skort Romper in True Navy

Wearing size XS

This is definitely a buy now, wear now piece with the long sleeves and navy hue. This is a romper but looks like a dress thanks to the overlay skirt. The nice thing about this romper is that it has an elastic band on the side, so your off-the-shoulder sleeves don’t fall down. I’d wear this with a long necklace, like this Julie Vos one I have. This is one of those items you can comfortably wear to dinner or on a date when you aren’t 100% certain of the attire.

3.Tiki Wrap Romper in Raz Berry

Wearing size S. If you have a larger bust size, I would also size up as this is more low cut.

Well, talk about the “Katey find” of the sale! This pink wrap romper is such a fun, bubbly shade of pink. It did run a little short, so size up. This is another sale find you can wear into fall with the sleeves. I wish we were going to 30A soon because it would be the perfect dinner outfit there!

4.Deanna Tank Top Romper in Bennet Blue

Wearing size S.

If you are wanting a comfortable find from the sale, this tank top romper is my pick for you. I was so excited to snag this because it totally feels like you’re wearing one of those pajama rompers. 🙂 To wear this into fall, I’d throw on my denim jacket and a pair of white sneakers! It looks like a tank tucked into shorts with the way it overlays and it has the cutest bow you can tie in the front or side.

5.Trista Shift Dress in True Navy

Wearing size 0.

If you’re heading to a wedding this fall, this is your new BFF. The gold detail is stunning, but not overdone. With this dress being navy, it has a more formal, cocktail feel and the lace-up detail gives a flirty accent. If you have broader shoulders {I do for my body type!} don’t let a dress with thin straps intimidate you. The key is, to look for a dress that makes a “v” and this does just that. That’s going to pull your look to the center and draw attention to that lace-up detail and gold accent.

6.Edita Cardigan in Resort White

Wearing an XS in this photo, but purchased a small as I wanted it looser in shoulders.

My mom always gets some form of cardigan from this sale, because she keeps Lilly cardigans EVERYWHERE! In fact, she gets mad at my sister and I because we steal them from her anywhere we are. She loves these because they can be worn with a dressier look or with simple shorts and a tee. She keeps one in her car for cold restaurants and then she always brings them on vacation, too. I got this one in white and think this would be great to leave at your office if your work area can get more chilly. I size up in these cardigans because I find them to be a bit more fitted in the shoulders.

7.Abi Silk Dress in Dune Our Thing

Wearing size XS.

I had to include this option for all my bridal babes! If you are going on your honeymoon, I’d definitely look at this dress! It’s white and has the prettiest blue and green print. I’m always into anything with bell sleeves, so this dress is no exception. If you do wear this on your honeymoon, pair it with a mule. I know I really talk these up, but they are as good as they look in person- if not better. I never am uncomfortable wearing these!

8.Skipper Popover in Periwinkle Purple Heather

Wearing XXS in this photo as I purchased this for my sister. I would have gotten an XS or S.

My sister watched Maxi while I went to shop the sale, so I couldn’t forget a little something for her. I knew she’d wear this for TCU and it’s a nice pullover to “dress up” leggings a little bit. She loved it when I gave it to her!

A Top Request

Ardleigh Dress

Wearing size 0.

So technically this post features 11 things if you count the mommy & me looks from above, BUT I did want to share this dress I also got! Along with wedding dress requests, engagement photo looks have always been a top COF question. The Ardleigh Dress in Bennet Blue is a perfect option for your engagement photography! Originally $178, this dress is marked down to $79 and fits TTS. In general, blue is a really flattering color when it comes to taking family photos. A lot of men typically feel more comfortable wearing some shade of white or blue as they like to stay in that color palette, and this hue blends beautifully with a navy suit for him. Gingham isn’t going out of style anytime soon and neither is this style of dress! It allows you to have fun with a print and shoes {I’d pair it with these} but you will remain classic in your photos for years to come. This dress also has bra inserts, so if you don’t want to wear a bra you can get away without one! The straps are adjustable so you can also tailor your neckline to what you are comfortable with. For sizing reference, I’m wearing a size 0.

Even if you don’t shop the sale, I’d love to know your favorite look from my haul! 🙂 Have a wonderful day!
