Gibson Resort 2020 Collection

The new Gibson Resort collection for 2020 is live this morning! With last year’s feedback, this was one of your favorite style posts of the year. I think it’s because these pieces are extremely wearable. You can wear them on vacation or to dinner or just to a movie with friends. Nothing is too over-the-top but still feels colorful, as spring and summer should. I don’t think any of these pieces would sit in a section of your closet waiting for a special occasion or moment, you could wear these maxi skirts and tops just as easily to Target as you could to a resort in Mexico. I can’t say that for many resort collections. If you are anything like me, you’ve got at least a dozen pieces in your closet just “waiting” for vacation- but you hardly go on vacation. haha. Or that is how I feel! This year the pieces are also very bump friendly {yay!}, so if you are expecting a little one I’ll discuss sizing on that below. The earrings I’m wearing in this lookbook aren’t available yet but will be this week so stay tuned for that.

A little FYI when shopping Gibson collections- they sell out fast. I’d say half of this will be sold out by this evening. Sometimes Gibson plans on restocks, but we were told last night by the Gibson team that there are NO restocks planned for this collection, so I wanted to share that info with you all.

Dress {wearing xs} | Bag | Wedges

This maxi dress is stunning and extremely flattering with the appropriate v-neck. So many maxi dresses with a v-neck go so low that I can’t help but think, “What on earth do you wear under that?!” This dress comes in blue and black as well. I took an xs and it is gathered in the rib area so the dress will actually stretch out with a baby bump. I think I’m going to order a small in black today for going into summer pregnant.

Top {wearing small} | Jeans, Non-maternity | Sandals

I am so excited about these tops for next summer. I’m a rare bird and actually find off-the-shoulder tops the easiest to nurse in. The pom pom detailing is probably my favorite and they can be worn off-the-shoulder or one shoulder as I’ll show below! I paired it with black jeans like I would for spring. I’m wearing a size small in this top style and you can also purchase it in blue or black.

Skirt {wearing xs} | Top {wearing small} | Sandals

This collection also has these fabulous drawstring maxi skirts that are comfortable and match the off-the-shoulder top prints. You can wear them with a tee for a casual look or the matching blouse as shown above for a dressier option. This would be such a gorgeous look if you are going on your honeymoon or have a tropical vacation planned this year. The fabric in the collection this year is more lined than years prior, and so it would stand up to any hot or humid temperatures.

Top {size up} | SkirtSandals | Similar Hat

This skirt also comes in black, and I wanted to showcase how to style it for a more casual option. Tuck in your favorite tee and top with a hat, and you’ve got a perfectly comfortable and balanced weekend look.

I hope you enjoy browsing this collection and let me know which style is your favorite!
