Allie + Bess Mommy & Me Stack

Hello friends! This spring has been a whirlwind. We’ve done Round Top. We’ve done Vegas for the Carrie Underwood concert. And in two weeks we head to Italy for a dear friend’s wedding. I will come up for air in June, right?! haha. While my notes to you all on the blog haven’t been as frequent, I have been working on many little passion projects at my desk with one launching today! Meet, the Katey McFarlan Mommy & Me Stack.

It’s no secret I love mommy and me matching. It might be the “bigger is better” Texan in me, but I find it to be darling. It’s such a small season of life you can match them, so why not?! Finding coordinating clothing brings me a lot of joy, but it’s more organic for an occasion, not necessarily at Tuesday preschool drop-off. I kept thinking, “But jewelry is for every day” so enter this stack with Allie + Bess.

We designed a Mommy & Me stack that can mix and match with your daily wear and be divided amongst your mom or mother-in-law for Mother’s Day. This is the first project I’ve been part of, where Maxi played a big part in selecting the pieces. We drew out every bead together, selected our pinks {to an overwhelmingly picky point}, and thought of what each addition meant.

Let’s Discuss The Stacks

It was important that both sets appealed to both mom and daughter while staying on-trend. All neutrals didn’t feel right for a 5-year-old {or me 😉 } but too much color felt not as wearable for a mom.

You’ll see both stacks have an emphasis on a rainbow hue. Maxi was quite certain that was necessary, and I think it speaks to the color and joy children bring in your life. It’s perfect for summer but also feels in line with what fine jewelry brands bring to the table. Have you noticed how the past 2 or 3 years they all have a rainbow collection? Then, you’ll notice some pearl hearts in the mommy stack {and the pink Maxi stack}. I sing this obnoxiously cheesy song about two hearts with my kids every single day. Harry can even sing it now. We joke I’ll sing it when I drop them off at college, so I had to include hearts! But we kept them with the pearl-hue to speak to the pure love a mother has for her child. Both mom and daughter have gold beads in their bracelets to symbolize the strong and unwavering bond you always have. A connection no matter how far apart you are. We kept the large Zo neutral so that you can mix and match it into any outfit choice all year, with a smaller bracelet that has a pink bead…because this IS Chronicles of Frivolity after all. The black beads in the bracelets represent Allie + Bess’ five kids between them. No better fit than a  mother-owned business for a mommy & me stack.

Let’s Discuss Pricing

This was another element that was important to me. It’s not lost on me that your little one will be wearing these, but I also wanted to be mindful of the quality and the 14k gold plating. And while Maxi is extremely cautious with her items, we’ve got to blend reality with frivolity here. Allie + Bess was beyond generous to extend a 30% off discount the first 24 hours this post goes live and a 20% off discount after!

  • Katey Stack – The value of this stack is $332, you’re getting 6 bracelets that you can easily divide amongst yourself, your mom, and your MIL. That was another key point with Mother’s Day coming up. But we are not retailing these at $332-
    • Retail $145– making it $24 a piece, but don’t forget your discount!
    • KATEY30 for 24 hours makes it $101.50– an incredible value for a substantial stack.
    • KATEY20 $116– If you miss the first 24 hours, you’re still getting a generous e deal after.
  • Maxi Stack
    • Retail (website) $50- The little girl stack has 5 bracelets, now let’s add your discount!
    • KATEY30 makes it $35- $7 a piece for a hand-beaded stack that has 14k gold plating.
    • KATEY20 makes it $40

I’m so happy to be able to match Maxi every day with our stack now, and can’t wait to see your tagged photos wearing them! Let me know what you order!
