In collaboration with Ulta. All purchases and opinions are my own!

You didn’t think I’d let Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty pass by without my recommendations, did you?!

As I looked at which day I wanted to share the sale while finishing beauty boot camp week, I decided I wanted to focus on beauty products for my beauties with oily skin!

Oily skin recommendations are definitely not one size fits all. You’ve got oily and acne prone, combination-skin oil, oily and aging skin- there are a lot of factors to think about. Are you more oily because you live in a humid climate? Is this related to age? Do you struggle with wanting pores to appear smaller or are you just frustrated that you can’t get a matte look in your t-zone? See what I mean! There are a lot of layers to oily skincare- no pun intended! That’s why we are getting a little detailed in breaking down each product and which gal I recommend them for!

Tomorrow is the last day of Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty. I love to share this sale because each day you get 50% off specific beauty products- and they are generally the ones with a cult following! Today, you get 50% off Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator and Benefit The POREfessional Face Primer. Let’s chat about why I recommend them to my friends!

Beauty Products for Oily Skin:

For the girl fighting aging and oil: Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

I know what you are thinking. Seriously, Katey? My skin produces a ton of oil- WHY would I get something with 72-hour hydration. You want to protect your skin’s moisture barrier if you are fighting wrinkles and oil. Drying your skin out is going to make wrinkles more visible *and* cause your skin to produce more oil. While I don’t have oily skin, I could name a ton of beauty YouTubers and bloggers I’ve met that have oily skin and recommend this product. Being a Texas girl, I also grab at least one bottle of this a year as it’s great for humidity. With oily skin, you want to look for a gel moisturizer, and this has a fabulous gel texture. 72-hour hydration in a gel moisturizer will help fine lines appear plumper and filled in and the gel will help keep your skin more matte. I would use this as your night moisturizer as you may want something a bit more mattifying before you apply makeup. I know everyone is going to have a different level of oiliness, but I truly think this is an incredible product for oily and aging skin. This is also non-acnegenic, which I know is a huge factor when selecting your moisturizer if you have oily skin.

This product is on sale today for 50% off! The 1 oz is originally $19 but you can get it for $9.50 today. The 1 oz is the perfect size to try it and see if it works for your oily skin, as I know so many moisturizers for an oily-prone girl are trial and error. For under $10, what do you have to lose?! I mean that’s my Chick-Fil-A order right there. ha! Shop it here.

For the girl fighting pore size: Benefit The POREfessional Face Primer

Has there ever been a face primer with more of a following in the beauty world?! I mean truly! If you have ever dabbled in makeup primers, chances are you have tried this or this was maybe the first one you heard about. I’ve blogged this product a few times before, but it makes your skin just like a baby’s, hence why it is one of the top-selling face primers in the US. In one study, it was the #1 seller! This makes your makeup look airbrushed and if you are more oily, it’s going to help minimize the appearance of pores, especially in that t-zone area! If you have combination skin, I recommend applying this in the t-zone and then “blend” it out towards your cheeks with a damp beauty blender.

This product is on sale today for 50% off. It is regularly $32 and you can get it for $16. This is a product that is also great for combination or even normal skin. It has a Vitamin E derivative to protect your skin, so everyone can get a positive effect from it. Shop it here.

For the girl needing her makeup to cover acne: Esteé Lauder Double Wear + Setting Mist

If you have oily skin, chances are you love some Double Wear Foundation. I don’t even have oily skin and I love it! This stuff covers acne like nobodies business, but does so without feeling like your skin can’t breathe! My sister wears this for dressier events {she has oily skin} and pairs it with the Esteé Lauder Setting Mist which I did want to mention. She says they both work together so well! A little hack to keep your blemishes covered, but the texture toned down: spray your damp beauty blender with the Setting Mist and *then* blend out the foundation.

Shop foundation here. Shop mist here.

For the cystic acne-prone skin searching for a toner: PETER THOMAS ROTH Max Complexion Correction Pads

I feel so badly because these were on sale and sold out online! However, I would check in store at your closest Ulta! I recommend this as a toner for my readers with really oily skin that produces more cystic acne. I do want to note because this is more powerful, don’t “leave” these on your skin- swipe, wipe, and toss! Be sure you also load up on sunscreen as your skin can be more sensitive with acids. I hope my warnings don’t shy you away from this product if you do have really oily skin! I know so many girls that sing the praises of these pads as a toner!

Shop them here.

I hope this list of products was versatile enough, that if you have oily skin you can find one product that suits your fancy! Have you tried any of these?!

Now another question for you all, who has seen A Simple Favor?! I’m going with my mom tonight and I keep hearing mixed reviews! Everyone says the humor makes it a little awkward?! What did you think? In the wise words of my friend Bekah, “I mean I’d pay $12 regardless just to see Blake Lively and her fabulous outfits in the movie.” CHEERS TO THAT!

Let me know if you shop this sale!
