2015

Happy New Year!
While you are nursing your exhaustion and making your black-eyed peas for good luck, I wanted to share my goals for the next year.
From PR to blogging, I’ve immersed myself in the social media world, and noticed the negativity with it. I spent way too much time trying to wrap my head around why people people enjoy being mean to others.
It finally took me until December to stop trying to understand why people do it. At the end of the day, hurting people hurt people, and there are a lot of people hurting in this world. Colossians 3:12-15 is such a great way to combat the hurt and negativity.
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
That is my New Year’s Resolution. I want to be thankful for all the beautiful people in this world that have so many wonderful talents and strengths. I want to the give grace and compassion that Jesus gives me to those who do hurt. I want to be more understanding. And I not only want to recognize the best in others, but acknowledge it more.
I’m hoping this year brings you much love and kindness!
