Being pregnant in 2016 allows us to be really spoiled. We have so many apps, forums, websites, books and blogs to help us know every little symptom to expect. Another thing that has been fun to see is how textbook wives tale my little girl is. Every single wives tale has been true for us even the cravings! In the beginning I thought it couldn’t possibly be a girl because I hated sweets. But I also hated every single other kind of food! haha. It wasn’t until strong aversions went away that I was craving fruit and cookies all the time.

However, every pregnancy is so different and there are always things that shock you! One thing that shocked me? How quickly and frequently I would be purchasing new bras. I would say that has been the biggest change with pregnancy so far and because of that I honestly feel like I know more about bras than I ever thought I would know! It’s almost as if every weekend I’m buying a new one and so I thought it would be fun to share my “best of bras” post today. Because trust me, I don’t even want to think about all the money I have wasted the past 5 months on bras that are poorly made. So instead, let’s just think about how I can narrow it down to my favorites to help you. 😉

Every girl is looking for something different in bras so I divided this post up by my favorites per category. Maybe you love a good push up or if you’re like me, wireless is key to comfort and blending in with your wardrobe.

All of these bras can be purchased through Nordstrom and I’m being really conscientious to make sure all the bras I buy now are from there. The reason why? They will turn any bra you purchase from them into a nursing bra for only $16! I know I will buy a few nursing bras before I give birth, but I definitely don’t want to have to go out and repurchase a million new bras as realistically no mom knows how long they will nurse. It could be 6 months, it could be a year and a half! So why give up all your beautiful bras that you love and spend a ton of money on new ones? I’m sure many of you aren’t thinking about that, but for all you married ladies or mommies-to-be I thought I would share that little gem of a secret!

If nursing bras are the last thing on your mind, I also recommend Nordstrom bras because of how accurate their sizing guide is. Another little trick I learned from all my shopping the past few weeks is to  go up a cup size in your strapless bras for a better fit. And be sure to use a delicate wash when cleaning your lingerie as you want them to last for years.

Lastly, I made sure to share my favorite undies! When I moved from Dallas I remember just getting rid of so much and starting over. I bought all new Hanky Panky undies and I can’t wear anything else now, it’s like my Donna Karan Deodorant obsession. haha. However, these commando thongs are a life saver if you have a fitted dress and need something seamless. You can’t see a thing!

I hope the last 5 months of my constant shopping trips help you find your favorite new bra with these tried-and-true winners! Thank you so much for reading!

Love this! I used to work at Neiman Marcus in the intimate apparel department in college and we saw this all the time. I truly recommend spending a little more on bras because you wear them every day and make it a yearly ritual to get resized by someone who has gone through the training and are a professional fitter. You can’t even imagine how quickly those 5lbs gained or lost can go to your chest and throw everything off size wise. I also believe in getting a little lingerie bag to protect your delicate panties and bras when you wash. Forever New is a great product that protects the fibers in your bras to keep them from over stretching so the life of your bras last that much longer and it’s only $15. GREAT POST!
