Let’s talk about my Fendi Mon Tresor Canvas Bucket Bag. I never thought I’d be a bucket bag girl. I liked the look of them, certainly, but wasn’t all too sure if I’d love the organization of it. I thought it would end up being a black-hole type of handbag situation where sunglasses were tossed atop baby wipes and I couldn’t find a thing. A month into carrying my Fendi Mon Tresor Canvas Bucket Bag and I raise my flag to say, “I was wrong!

Personally, I feel like Fendi is about to have the moment Gucci had about 2-3 years ago. So I’d had my eye on a Fendi bag but just couldn’t decide which one to splurge on for my birthday. I was on the phone with my girlfriend, Ashley, talking about very important matters- as we all do. We both had our laptops pulled up to Nordstrom with our ears to our phones to discuss which handbag I needed to pull the trigger on- you know, how best friends shop in 2019.

She kept telling me I needed to try the bucket bag, she was convinced I’d love it. I somehow talked myself into it and I’m thrilled I did! Because so many products can “stand” up in the bag, it 100% stays organized to my liking- even with Maxi’s sippy cups and wipes. While I have only carried this bag for a month, y’all have been asking for a review- so a review you all shall get! I love to grab handbags and accessories from Nordstrom, so today I’m partnering with them to review this for you all.

Size:

  • 6 ¾”W x 9″H x 6″D.
  • There is a 14″-19″ convertible strap drop
  • Weighs 1.0 lb.
  • Online this is classified as a “small” interior, but I classify this as a medium interior. It carries roughly the same amount of items as my Chanel bag and due to height, I think you can carry more than you would originally think.

Details:

  • Color is classified as Mohogany/ Nocciola
  • It is a coated canvas in a soft leather trim- but to be honest I do not baby the soft leather and have had absolutely no issues. I have dropped it on concrete on accident while picking up Maxi and there were no scratches.
  • The interior is suede and there is a pocket on the inside you could put cards in.

COF Review:

I felt like I didn’t have a larger “spring/summer” bag as my raffia YSL I purchased from Nordstrom a few years ago is a bit smaller. That bag can’t hold sippy cups and diapers, so I wanted something that would pair well with denim shorts and bohemian tops and support my toddler’s items. I used to be very careful with handbags, but that’s not necessarily the case anymore. Now I really look to structure {it can’t fall over and dump her goldfish onto the ground}, tough exterior {can’t scratch as it will get dropped!}, and the ability to wipe the surface clean. So far, this bag fits all the requirements. It has been dropped on concrete, had milk spilled on it, gotten lip gloss on the soft leather {#Maxi}, and still looks brand new. Now the soft leather on the bottom will probably age as I continue to carry it, but so far I’m beyond impressed with the durability. I have some soft leather bags that scratch first drop! The Fendi F-ring logo hardware on the side is an added detail that is something I don’t have in another handbag. The medallion brand in the center is unique and gives the bag a vintage vibe. When I carry this bag, it feels like I’m carrying around one of my mom’s bags from years back- which I absolutely love! I also like that the logo colorway allows this bag to play nice with a casual look as well as it does a dress for church. Below I have photos of what I fit in the bag, but it fits my makeup bag, wallet, keys, phone, a sippy cup and more. A few people have asked how I like how the bag sits as if you use the crossbody feature it can hit higher up on your hip. I personally love that and it doesn’t get in my way as some crossbody bags do.

I absolutely recommend this bag and Fendi in general as you are about to see the gorgeous logo everywhere from sandals to tote bags. But overall, this has me thinking a little differently about bucket bags for the future! I’ll link some similar from Nordstrom for you to browse!

Notes Before You Purchase:

My only thing to note is that it does sit higher on the drop strap as featured if you carry it across your body. If you have an extremely long torso you may want to be aware of that. If I see any changes as I carry it longer, I’ll be sure to let you know!

Love the look of them! I’m curious though, my wallet that is wristlet size is my life, would that fit in the fendi bag whether horizontally or vertically? Thank you!

I can throw diapers, wipes, sippy cups, etc in it! I so love that I can take it in the grocery store without a tote and still have what I need for her! xx, Katey
