MacKenzie-Childs Summer Haul

Once the clock strikes midnight on Labor Day, I’m adding pumpkins to my mantle, cinnamon candles to my entry, and layering in festive bits and bobs. But during the summer, I like to keep things neat, refreshed, and light. I’ve updated our linens, planted more flowers, and had a haul with MacKenzie-Childs. And like two friends chatting on the phone while they cook dinner, I thought I’d take you through that haul here.

Butterfly Pillow

Our entry is quite the work in progress! I found this loveseat at Homegoods and fell in love with it. My friend Bekah has a similar piece in her kitchen and I’ve always adored the brightness it brings to the space. The side table was an antique, that I originally purchased as a nightstand for Harry’s big boy room one day. I just couldn’t pass up a good find! But, I personally like it in the entry for now. I envision wallpaper one day, but for now we wait. If you have a wallpaper suggestion, I’m all ears! Butterflies are symbolic to me with my kids and I have them all over the house. When I saw this butterfly pillow from MC, I immediately knew I had to add it as friends and family entered our home.

Pillows

Our porch swing pillows were from our last home, and after surviving a few years of Texas tornado season {and pollen!} they needed to retire. These blue outdoor pillows are the perfect combination of Royal Check flirting with Chinoiserie. I have a blue and white planter on the front porch, so when I saw these I knew they’d blend beautifully.

Butterfly Entrance Mat

Again with my love of butterflies. 😉 I have had this wreath hanger since our last house, but it is from MC here. Also our topiary has seen better days! It was preserved, and just not doing so well after our major rain this past season. Any favorites or suggestions?

Picture Frame

If you haven’t seen on Instagram Stories, we recently added more kitchen cabinets where our floating shelves were. I love the idea of floating shelves {and they look stunning in other homes!} but they drove me nuts in our house. I wanted more storage. Now, I’m able to house all my appliances on the other side of the kitchen. Thanks to Appliance Hunter for providing us the best!

Since moving the coffee maker, I grabbed this picture frame from MC to place on top of my most reached-for cookbooks.

Parchment Check 3-Tier Sweet Stand

Perhaps one of my most prized pieces in my MC collection is the 3-Tier Sweet Stand. I have had the Courtly Check one for a few years. It is our family celebration piece. We use it for birthdays, holidays, parties, any and every time we host. My cost per use on this gal is well worth it. In fact, each time we host I think, “I wish we had another one for the opposite end of the island.” I went with the parchment check one since our kitchen is lighter and creamier. I thought it was a good balance with the blue and white and Courtly Check we already have.

Leopard Sisal Rug {on sale!}

The classic look of sisal with the punchiness of animal print. This leopard sisal runner is on sale and it basically exudes everything I look for in home decor. You also don’t need a rug pad under it!

While this isn’t a room reveal, I love hearing thought processes with hauls. Let me know which item is your favorite and what wallpapers you are loving for an entry?!
