When I work from home I typically like to wear a pair of denim [shorts, boyfriend jeans or skinnies] with a v neck. I don’t like working in a dress and feeling out of place [sometimes I work from my couch, what can I say?! I paid for it, I might as well use it! haha] but if I work in workout clothes I feel like a slob.

It’s all good and well until I get the bittersweet phone call.

“Hey babe, I’m on my way home from work. Why don’t you meet me at Mi Cocina downtown in 30 minutes?”

How do I hide my v neck with a Diet Coke stain and seem more put together for my husband? [Seriously, why do men not look haggard at the end of the day?! Why?!]

I like to just add in a chic little layer. Enter the Chicwish Vest. [It’s a sleeveless trench coat, but I like to call it a vest because you can easily add it over anything and not feel bulky!]

You can leave it open or tied and it’s never too much added texture to your look. I always feel a little bit like Audrey Hepburn [if Audrey Hepburn had a Mi Cocina addiction] when I wear it! 😉 This vest also comes in black here. How perfect would that be over a little dress for work?!

It’s true to size and in my humble little opinion looks a heck of a lot more expensive than it is.

Do you have any tricks for getting ready quick?!

P.S. Today is the last day of the Shopbop sale! I’m sad, but I think Paul and our bank is happy. You can see my favorites here, and I pulled some more winter items below! P.S. Did you know you can get my glamboxes there on sale too?!

Thank you to Chicwish for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.
