This week we are headed to the see The Nutcracker. Fort Worth is really spoiled with Bass Hall [if you ever make it here, I HIGHLY suggest it!] and we love to make as many date nights there as possible. Bass Hall is our performance hall but think marble floors, the most beautiful winding staircases with Tailored Stair Designs you’ve ever seen with angels included in the architecture on the outside to welcome you in.

I willingly see the same performances over and over just because of the aesthetic experience and atmosphere. My favorite part about date nights there is seeing all the little girls dressed up on dates with their dads! It seriously melts my heart.

Whenever I dress up for a date night I like to keep it balanced. During the day I’ll pile on tons of bracelets with sweaters just because I think it embraces a casual “do whatever makes you happy” style. For date night, I like to balance it through makeup, texture and jewelry. I typically pick a brighter lip and keep my eyeshadow minimal with just a winged liner. I love texture like with this coat from Shop September and I kept my jewelry balanced with this CLUSE watch.

I saw this coat on a trip to Dallas at one of my favorite boutiques, Shop September, about two weeks ago! Something about the texture and little gold shaggy strands woven in makes it such a unique coat for dressy nights! I kept it simple with a black top and white skirt! You can 100% wear black tights and a white skirt. Black and white does no wrong because it is a wardrobe stable, so you can definitely make it as eclectic as you want.

It was the first thing I saw when I walked in the store, so I immediately grabbed it. Does anyone else do that?! I act like every day is Black Friday if I find something I have to have. I think some other invisible shopper is going to steal it from me. haha!

I think it would also work really well with boyfriend jeans, easy sneakers and a v-neck tee tucked in. I got a small and it’s a bit oversized so either buy TTS or size down!

I wanted to pair a minimalistic accessory with this coat, so I went for this CLUSE watch I just got! I chose gray and gold, but they also have a pink and gold option I was really torn on! Their whole basis of the line is finding the sophistication and beauty in simplicity. And I don’t think that just applies to girls who like to dress a little more simple and traditional. I think it’s all about just inserting something really elegant and minimal within your look to give the entire thing a large dose of chic. They also offer free worldwide shipping on all watches, which is something pretty rare!

My watch is the La Bohème Rose Gold White/Grey and the next one on my list is this marble one!

Do you have any date nights coming up for the holidays?! I’d love to know your favorite one in your city!

I love your ideas for date day or night style! Our favorite date night restaurant is Little Rosie’s, a local Tex Mex here in Huntsville AL with the best food and service in town! Heart eyes all day for the queso. One of my favorite traditions that my husband and I have done the past couple of years has been driving through the surrounding neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights. One neighborhood even has live reindeer and activities for the little ones. This is one of my favorite parts of Christmas because it’s just he and I in the car. The holidays get so busy and most of our family is local so we’re always rushing to go to this family’s house, then to the next, it’s nice to have the quiet time with him and the lights are so beautiful. It’s something I am excited to continue as we start a family someday 🙂
