Reader’s Request: Mom Life Lookbook

Hi friends! Today’s blog post is in response to a reader request and it is one of my favorite “style” posts to date. Let’s get to it!

Last Thursday I received this DM- which got my wheels turning! Why not do a #MomLife lookbook?! Y’all know I love to share lookbooks from sales to seasons so that you can get a really straightforward way to see fit, style, and cut of pieces you can incorporate into your own wardrobe.

While I love to find a great legging just as much as the next girl {see these here!} many times moms are looking for something cute they can wear to the park, a kid-friendly casual dinner, or the bookstore. I know for me, I don’t want to feel silly chasing Maxi in over-the-top outfits, but I also don’t want to wear workout clothes every single day. While getting dressed in the morning, I think, “What can I wear that allows me to care for and play with Maxi but still be me?” From carpool to Little Gym, I hope you find a look or two you will love that still allows you to PLAY.

Today, I’m sharing on-trend looks that will take you from spring to summer whether you’re making peanut butter sandwiches at home or taking your little ones to catch a matinee movie! Three looks are focused on being out and about and one is my “at-home” look I got from Target!

Take these looks, embrace the trends, and mix them into what you already own in your wardrobe. If one of these tees isn’t your thing, don’t worry! Just find one that is! My goal for this lookbook is to just share how you can still keep a toddler on your hip, a baby carrier on your arm, and rock trends with the best of them.

And of course this goes without saying, you can style these looks without little ones. I would have worn all of these 6 years ago- on trend or not. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I just went with this theme as to answer a reader’s request.

Look One

“What Would Dolly Do?”

Tee {runs small!}, Look For Less Tee | Shorts {run small!}

I love this top for meeting up with friends for lunch or dinner! My girlfriends and I will attempt a “family” dinner with our kids if our husbands are working late or traveling. The paperbag short trend is HUGE for spring and summer and I love the tie on these. I sized up in the shorts and I’m wearing a small in the tee, but just know it’s pretty fitted. I could have done a medium! By tucking in a more fitted tee, the look feels pulled together and not messy {sometimes how I feel!}. The great thing about all of these looks is you can wear them with slip-on sandals, mules, or sneakers! Whatever works for your life that day. So if you are meeting your girls for a birthday lunch before carpool, try this. I LOVE a Dolly tee, but also found one for less that I linked!

Look Two

“Out Of Office!”

Tee {wearing size S} | Shorts {run small} {bought them at Hale House! ๐Ÿ™‚ }

If you’re going to be home all day and then headed up to soccer practice with your little ones, a ban.do tee is your solution! These are a little boxy- but in a good way! You can wear them with leggings as easily as you can tuck them in, and it’s just a break from the normal Lululemon top. My color of top is sold out in some sizes, but they have them in another color s that says “Out of Office“, too. I’ll pull more ban.do tees below! I ordered a few more they were so comfy! I paired my tee with some tie-dye shorts as that is a huge print trend for the summer. I got mine at Hale House!

Look Three

Summer Top

Top | Shorts {run TTS}

Have a busy Saturday? Soccer practice, a birthday brunch, then setting up for a baby shower the next day? You NEED these peasant tops by Madewell. I have them in multiple colors in a size Small! The puff sleeve gives it a feminine detail, but tucked in they are light and breezy and feel like a tank top. They are on sale today for $26! If you need to dress them up quickly, just throw your hair up and toss on major statement earrings.

Look Four

At Home

This is my favorite jogger set and it’s a Target find! It’s soft, it doesn’t bulk up, and it’s also light for summer. This is what I live in at home and I’m sure a few of you can relate, right?! ๐Ÿ˜‰ This is also a wonderful work-from-home uniform that feels like pajamas, but I can go outside, walk Peaches, have visitors over, and not feel like I’m still in a robe and slippers.

Top {wearing size S} | Joggers {wearing size S} | Necklace

Which look is your favorite?!

    Love, love this post!! I don’t have kids but I loved seeing the dressed down options. The polaroid at the end adds such a fun touch. How can I recreate that?
