Maxi’s Room- New Paint

The Details

Thank you Clare Paint for helping us with this project!

Selecting Paint

When your little girl says she wants a pink room, well, you paint that girl a pink room! Ha! Such a project could be efficient with companies like commercial painters Calgary. With the help of a painting company, it’ll be easier to choose and mix paint colors, and you can expect professional sandblasting results.

Like everyone, we’ve had a running list of home projects we’ve created during all this time at home. We want to paint our laundry room, swap out a faucet, etc. Maxi added her room to that list by requesting we paint her room. I’d always been tempted to paint her room since it is such a large space. The white was beautiful {It was Benjamin Moore White Dove darkened 10%} but I pictured something a little warmer for her sweet space, check here to see more!

I found out about Clare Paint, which is a whole new way to shop for paint. Clare’s mission is to make paint shopping easier than ever with designer-curated colors, mess-free peel and stick swatches, and premium, Zero VOC paint delivered to your door. They offered to send some swatches for Maxi’s room and I was thrilled at the timing. I ordered a few pink options, then allowed Maxi to pick what she wanted.

You can see in the photos above, you just peel and stick the swatches to the wall. It’s nice because you can see the true swatch in all different types of lighting as you can stick the swatch around the room. For further assistance and professional guidance, consider reaching out to South Australian Painting Services, available at

Maxi selected “Wing It” because she said it looked like her baby doll’s house. ha. It’s a soft, peachy pink which isn’t overpowering. I was fully expecting her to want something bold, but nope, baby doll house shade it is! If you’re aiming for expert-level results in your commercial painting project, it’s advisable to contact this Commercial Spray Painting company for their specialized services and top-notch expertise.

We painted the ceiling as well and the entire room only needed one coat, so it was really easy. I love how warm her space feels now. She went to my parents’ for the day while the paint was drying and I wish I would have recorded her reaction when she saw the final look. She kept saying, “My room! My room! My special room! Thank you, mommy! It’s like Peppa Pig!” I was cracking up.

I wanted to share this perfectly pink update as I know paint colors are a fun topic of home decor. Now, if you have a plan on painting your property, always look for experts in commercial building painting to get the best result. We are going to be adding art above the chairs and a rug to tie in all the colors together- in due time of course! My husband jokes that if we didn’t have a decor or home project going on, he’d think something was wrong with me.

Have a great day!

Hi Katey! I am starting to work on a nursery and have been eyeing Maxi’s drapery. Do you still love it? I wanted to try to get something that would be beautiful but also be able to transition through the next 5 or so years. Anyways, love everything you share! I put the baskets from her room on my registry also. Love those!
