A Spring Set Styled Six Ways

We had an entire week of ice last week in DFW! Schools, offices, and roads shut down. Now, we’ve got a week of rain. I’m ready to break up with winter and see the sun shining again- so the next best thing I can think to do is blog some spring looks! Pretend with me it’s 70 degrees outside, shall we?!

Neutrals are put on a pedestal, but personally, I praise prints. I find myself reaching for prints more consistently throughout a season. While I certainly wear key neutral pieces over the years {think tees, tanks, and jean jackets}, I make every penny count with a printed piece. I’m pro adding prints to your wardrobe and find them to be more versatile for me, because I can have them work with my personal style more. I want to be girly? Pair a printed skirt with an embellished cardigan. I feel a bit more Cowtown? Add my cowgirl boots and turqoise with that same printed skirt. What if I want to be a bit more simple that day? Just tuck in a plain tee. Meanwhile, I have a black blazer jacket in my closet that still has tags because I can’t find a way to make it girly, edgy, and relaxed all in one.

And while I am fine being in the minority of this hot opinion over here, I do hope to encourage you that prints can get a little more life in your wardrobe if you want them to! This spring I’ll be wearing this set by Hunter Bell on repeat and if you want to as well, here are SIX ways to style these two pieces!

The entire reminds me of Easter egg hunts with the kids! I’ll throw over a cardigan since that weekend can be a bit windy and wear it all together for church.

The top paired with jeans might be my favorite look. It’s casual and realistic for my life, but still feels very tailored to match my personal style. I love this for brunch with the kids and meeting friends.

Headed to Round Top soon? You’ll want layers and a *longer* skirt- it’s windy! I’d throw this skirt on with a tee and a quilted cape for shopping the antique tents.

For a meeting I’d take, I’ll throw on a tweed blazer over the top and cropped denim.

Let’s talk concerts. In Fort Worth, so many events have the attire “Cowtown Chic.” To me, that means boots, denim, and layered jewelry.

Add a flirtier top with the skirt for a date night look perfect for the patio.

Which look is your favorite?! I think this is mine!
