You all know Ballard Designs is my brand. When you see your BFF do something great you think, “That’s my girl!” When I get the Ballard Designs’ catalog I think, “That’s my brand!” In fact, last week a reader commented on my Instagram and said, “I’ve always thought your style was very Ballard Designs.” I’ve never felt so loved by a comment. ha!

And guess what Fort Worth girls? Ballard Designs is coming. They are opening up May 18th at the Shops at Clearfork! If you are a FW native, you know that’s all anyone can talk about. Every lunch with a girlfriend, each stroll past the new Mesero restaurant and 90% of direct messages I’ve received lately prompts the question, “When is the new Ballard Designs opening?!” Mark your calendars for that weekend because it’s going to be major.

Take it back to 2015 on Snapchat and you know their catalog is the catalyst to much of my happiness. I snapped the thing each time it came in the mail. Everything from their styled shoots to their impeccable delivery service has me purchasing their items over and over and over again. See here, here and here. It’s European furnishings, but every single person can find a style they love. And ultimately, that’s why I rave about their pieces so much. If you are into farmhouse chic, they’ve got burlap for you. If you want something glam, get all the prints you want. {I just purchased two of these for formal living and can’t wait to show you!} If you need your home a bit more eclectic, take the Miles Redd Collection. And if you are a mix of everything in between [me!] their styling and blog will give you plenty of inspiration.

When it came to designing our patio, I let that space sit empty for a bit. I love to decorate, but I proudly admit I can’t do window treatments, I can’t do rugs and I can’t do patios. I’m helpless at those three things. I know my limits. You should have seen the patio at our last house. That poor hodgepodge mess was a disaster.

When Ballard Designs contacted me to share their Fort Worth opening date, I was telling them how I couldn’t wait to see their patio selections in person as my mom decorated her patio with a lot of decor from Ballard Designs. They have the Best fire pits by their pool and I have always been wanting to do a bit of the same! They offered to help me style the space and I was thrilled.

My mom has a vintage set of patio furniture from her grandmother, whom Maxi is actually named after! It’s been something she has cherished since she was a little girl enjoying her summers there. When I saw the new BD catalog and found something nearly identical I knew that I wanted to recreate that look. I went with the Maison Collection as it felt so similar to what I grew up with. I followed in my mom’s footsteps with black and white cushions and BD helped suggest the pink and palm. I also found garden pond installers near me that will help beautify our garden.

The final look feels glam and fresh to me all at the same time. I hope you loved this before and after of the space as much as we do! I’ll be sharing my go-to al fresco dining recipes for your patio soon as well.

How do you decorate your patio?!

Hope this isn’t too TMI but what bra are you wearing with that top? I can never figure out what type of bra to wear with tops like the one pictured or halter tops.

    (Your patio is beautiful btw.)

Hi Lara! Not TMI at all, that’s what I’m here for! 🙂 I recently got this one from Neiman Marcus and really like it! It’s what I’m wearing here. I find it doesn’t really show with tops that are low on the sides which I always hate. https://rstyle.me/n/c4b2835p2w

Great job!! Absolutely gorgeous! I just started at looking at Ballard designs and have fallen in love!! Quick question, are you cushions black/white or the black/ sand. I’m having a hard time deciding between the two for our curtains and I love your look.

    Thank you,
