You know what kinds of e-mails and DM’s really excite me?

“Hey, Katey! I use this and this, what should I try next from Colleen Rothschild?!”

Because y’all, that’s just how I am! When I fall in love with a brand or a store, I want to try the next product and the next and the next, once I run out of one of course! I feel that way with everything from essential oils to Trader Joe’s runs. I want my girlfriends {or my online girlfriends 😉 } to tell me what to grab. I mean, I can barely walk in Costco without at least 5 recommendations from a friend. I am not joking when I say my last Costco run I sat in the parking lot and called my friend, Amy Beth, to say, “Okay, sister. What do I grab next?

There’s a twinge of guilt removed when you can try a new product when it’s on sale, so that’s what today’s post is! There’s Colleen Rothschild’s Friends & Family Sale going on until the 20th, so you can grab your favorites for 25% off and try something new, too! Use code FAMILY25 at checkout.

So as your girlfriend talking you through a Costco run, let me tell you my 3 recommendations for your summer pampering routine!

  1. Honey Vanilla Body Butter: This isn’t the body butter’s first rodeo on COF. I actually did a blog post here sharing how I use it in a quick self-tanning hack. But after going through one jar already, my body craves this stuff once I hop out of the shower. This body butter is made without Parabens, Phthalates, Artificial Colors, TEA, DEA, PEG, PPG, Silicone, Aluminum or SLS/SLES Sulfates, so it will not break down your self-tanner this summer! I’m all for SAFE sun, protecting your skin, and faking that color! But if you aren’t careful, your body products will remove your self-tanner and that’s how you end up with splotchy product that comes off unevenly. The packaging of this box is divine, so much so, it’s already the perfect giftable item without you even having to wrap it. It also has Mother of Pearl as an ingredient, so if you aren’t a fan of self-tanner, it gives your skin a natural highlighted glow, making this the perfect moisturizing product to try this summer. OH and lest we forget the best part! This butter actually moisturizes within your skin, it doesn’t *coat* your skin. So you can sit on leather seats in the summer and not leave behind a train of OIL. I always dread that. ha!
  2. Hair Care Essentials: I’ve talked before about Maxi being in swim lessons 3x a week this summer and I’ll be in the pool with her. I typically only wash my hair once a week or so, so I know all the salt water, sun and shampoo is going to be a bit of a shocker to my hair. If you’ve never seen Colleen Rothschild, let me just tell you, the woman is an angel of platinum blonde hair. It’s cool-toned, it’s bright, and it is NOT damaged. I mean how many of us can say we meet a platinum blonde with no damage in their hair? Colleen was a scientist behind BIG NAMES in the beauty industry before launching her own line and was passionate about using good ingredients with effective results. The woman could create cockroach sheet masks and I’d be like, “Yes, captain. Let me try them!” For her and her team, it’s not about sales, it’s about effective ingredients. I say all of this to explain that when I saw her Hair Care Essentials on Instagram, Ashley and I immediately texted one another at 5 a.m. and said, “I’M ORDERING THAT!” This kit {already on sale, can’t be combined with a sale code} comes with a mask, a serum, and a brush. The mask can be used as a treatment or a daily conditioner, which is what I got it for! Since I’ll be washing my hair 3 times a week {not what I’m used to!} I want a conditioner that will fight the harsh elements and keep my color safe and protected. I knew with her background of ingredient knowledge, this would do the trick. This treatment works amazing for flyaways, too and it smells like the fanciest hair salon one could imagine- in a subtle way. Do you all remember last week when I was on stories with my hair in french braids? I braided my hair wet after using the treatment and serum, slept on the braids, and got on stories around 2 p.m. I got so many DMs from y’all asking how my hair was so smooth and still had volume with the braids- it’s this kit! You know I packed it for the beach, too. In fact, yesterday, I had major beach hair with salt stuck in it for 9+ hours and the treatment with the brush got it all out.
  3. Pomegranate & AHA Resurfacing Mask: You know how when you apply a mask, you have to pick one thing? While selecting my weekly face mask, I typically have to think, “Do I want to detox my pores? Moisturize my cheeks? Get rid of flakes? Add a glow?” If you are a more low-maintenance girl {teach me your ways!} or if you don’t want to just choose one {why should you have to?!} try this new pomegranate mask. Colleen combined all the benefits of a facial {clearing congested pores, brightening skin, removing lifeless layers} and turned it into a face mask. And it smells good- making it an even better at-home spa treatment.

So whether you want a body butter for summer or are enticed by an all-in-one facial mask, use this sale dip your toe into new product waters. And if you want some more suggestions, check out my most-read Colleen Rothschild product post: RETINOL 101.

Hi Nicole! Aw thank you so much!! Yes, that is the eye cream I use! I try different ones for my morning routine, but always like to use the CR one in the evening! For morning, lately, I have been using more natural ones. I had one in my Rachel Zoe Box of Style that was natural and used that. And then now I’m using a Beautycounter one! xx, Katey
