The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially open to all! I know every year everyone has an opinion on whether the sale is worth it or not. For me personally, this has been one of my favorite years to shop the sale! I really was taken with the sale about three years ago, but then the past two years it was a bit more difficult to shop. Two years ago, I was pregnant and throwing up 24/7 so I just didn’t care as much about the items. Then last year I was breastfeeding {AKA, I felt like I couldn’t find much I could nurse in/that fit great} and packing for our move, so while I liked the pieces I got, I was so preoccupied I don’t feel like I was that excited. This year things are much calmer and maybe that’s why I think the items are so great?! Regardless of the cause, I probably need to slow my roll. ha. My in-laws, grandparents, and parents always gift me Nordstrom gift cards for holidays and my birthday throughout the year, so I save them all year for this sale! Don’t forget to do that for next year! 😉

So far, I’ve shared:

Today, I rounded up some items I have purchased and what I ordered today! Let’s take a look.

  • I know this seems excessive, but I preach on this blanket 24/7. Want to hear a TMI story? Yes? No? Maybe?! Sweet little Maxi girl gets car sick and so when we went to visit my grandparents in Oklahoma she threw up in the back of the car. She had this blanket with her so it was covered in vomit. We pulled over on the side of the road in Moore, Oklahoma to clean her up and let her rest. Paul was rinsing out the car seat and told me the blanket was going in the trash because it would stink up the car. {CLEARLY, he did not know price. lol} I nearly had tears! I was like, “No! You don’t understand how nice of a blanket this is! It’s okay! I will hold it the entire ride and we can wash it at my Meme’s!” Well, when you’re on the side of the road covered in puke, there’s just not much to negotiate. So it was left there {RIP} and driving back to Texas I ordered that thing SO fast. I waited for it for a week and I had the worst sleep of my life. Kidding! But, I love this thing so much I’d hold it covered in vomit for an entire road trip.
  • Y’all always ask about these pajamas! They are what I was wearing in the hospital when I gave birth and they are what I always have on in my Insta Stories. I get my regular size and they hold up so nicely!
  • This tote was one of my favorite purchases from last week! I’ve used it as my purse/diaper bag, but also for shooting. It fits so much without getting bulky and the leather feels like softened butter! My sister is already trying to steal it from me for school. I said, “Paws off.” Look at Maxi trying to sneak her snacks out of the bag yesterday. ha!

Are you shopping the sale today?! Tonight, Paul and I are going on a date for his birthday. We are headed to a new-to-us spot, which all of our friends rave about. I’ll keep my DFW girls posted if we like it! Paul works the rest of the weekend so it will be a girls’ weekend around here. Trying to convince my sister to spend the night all weekend! Do you have any fun plans?!

  2. OMG that blanket story is too funny! I can only imagine that scenario and having to leave the blanket on the side of the road! lolllll! So sad I didn’t snag the blanket last week in cream! I was like, Oh, I’ll buy it in the morning, and bam. SOLD OUT. Sad day! Hoping it goes back in stock during the sale!

I live in Moore. Next time you can stop at my house. No need to stop on the side of the road.
