My Sephora Sale Order

As of late, all you hear online is, “What are you getting from the Sephora sale?!

I tried to resist and flee from it, but my girlfriends kept asking so I decided to stock up. Because Sephora does house so many luxury beauty brands, I find that this is a good time to make sure your beauty drawer is fully loaded for the spring and summer season. Lots of seasonal sales exclude specific brands, but the Sephora sale doesn’t turn down your need for overpriced mascara. They welcome it and give you a discount.

This is when you want to purchase your year-round beauty essentials you know you are going to use like eye cream or perfumes. I don’t purchase as many things like eyeshadow “on a whim” with this sale, but that’s not to say this isn’t a good opportunity to do so. I just like to grab what I know normally doesn’t go on sale.

For those unfamiliar with how Sephora does their sales, they have 2 yearly sales {outside of Black Friday or seasonal promotions} in which they honor their members. Here is how the sale works:

Dates: 4/13-4/16, ROUGE members get 15% off with code: YAYROUGE here.

[This was last week but I polled readers and many said they weren’t rouge!]

Dates: 4/20-4/23, VIB members get 15% off with code: YAYVIB here.

Dates: 4/20-4/23, Beauty Insiders get 10% off with code YAYINSIDER here.

You can also shop this sale as many times as you would like as your code linked to your account will not expire. If you are not part of Sephora’s membership service, you can sign up for free here.

  1. Olaplex: Y’all know I love my Olaplex and this is my faithful friend that allows me to keep highlighting my hair. I review it in this post, but if you are a blondie or have ever colored or processed your hair you need! This is a hair treatment you wash out, but sometimes I sleep in it to give my hair some added TLC. I use it once a week and only have to purchase 2 or 3 times a year, so I purchased a bottle.
  2. Givenchy Lash Primer: To be honest, I used to think all lash primers were the exact same. I assumed that until my friend Ashley told me I had to buy this lash primer. It’s false lashes in a product. I’ve used it since last fall and am just about due for another tube! I ordered one here just because lash primer is definitely a *luxury* and not a necessity so I want to get it on sale.
  3. Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb: This is Paul’s favorite perfume I wear! I share my other favorites in this post.
  4. Urban Decay Backtalk Lipstick: Every since I wore this lipstick to my friend Madison’s wedding, all my girlfriends are obsessed with it. Even my sister who is not a big lipstick lover steals this tube from time to time. I ordered an extra on hand to keep in the diaper bag.
  5. Kate Sommerville 360 Face & Body Tan Towels: If you are on the fair side like me, these tanning towels are foolproof. I still have half of my box left from my first order, but I didn’t want to run out and be empty handed. I’m really not tempted to use a tanning mousse as long as I have these. I don’t get *as* dark as a mousse would make me, but there are no streaks or awkward spots with these towels. I talk about them here.
  6. Dior Lip Glow in Holographic Pink: I feel like you have probably tried the Dior Lip Glow- everyone loves this product! It’s a balm, gloss, and touch of color all in one. I’ve purchased a few tubes over the years but my most recent tube was different. [This is a great product to leave in your handbag because it works no matter how you did your makeup that day. No makeup? Perfect! Full face? Great, too!] I went with the shade “Holographic Pink” and it’s shimmery and fun for summer! Here is a swatch.
  7. Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum: I used this morning serum a few months ago and really enjoyed it, but I already ordered one as a gift for a girlfriend’s birthday! Drunk Elephant is such a trendy {and powerful} skincare line the past few years and she’s had her eye on this. To me, serums are like vitamins for the skin. It’s great to take a multi-vitamin, but you also really need to pinpoint your specific needs [like prenantals or Vitamin D]. Get specific with your serums! If you are concerned about aging, make sure you use a lifting serum. If you want to protect your skin, use one with Vitamin C. This is a great Vitamin C serum and helps fight off a dull complexion. Yes, I’m the friend that gifts skincare…

  1. SK-II Mini Facial Treatment Essence: This is a product I have permanently added to my skincare routine and it’s liquid gold to me. I ran out over the weekend and added it to my cart. I get the mini size in this product and you can see my full review here.
  2. Sephora Travel Bag: I haven’t fully decided on this product or not, however, I follow Ring Concierge on Instagram. First off, I love to see her exquisite rings but I really follow her for her packing tips. She travels all over the world for work and ALWAYS only brings a carry on. I never can get a carry on, so she gives me inspiration. She uses this bag for her liquids as it is TSA approved and from her insta stories this looks like it fits quite a bit. I actually don’t have a TSA-approved “liquid” toiletry bag so I may try it.
  3. Amika Straightening Brush: I’ve now seen two bloggers I follow with extremely curly hair use this on insta stories. I have wavy hair and I really enjoy my straight hair, but I don’t enjoy how *pin straight* it gets. I feel like I have zero volume and that’s just not me. I’ve heard this gives you the “blowout” look, which is what I crave! Have you tried this?!
  4. Sunscreen Setting Powder: I haven’t ever used a sunscreen powder before but I always see girls keep these in their pool bags and use them to touch up! I’m very intrigued!
  5. Artis Brush: I really want to hear from y’all on these types of brushes. I’m not in the market for a new brush, I love my Sigma foundation brush or beauty blender. However, these look like a beautiful gift to give to a beauty-obsessed girlfriend! This seems like a lovely addition to my gift closet, have you ever tried one?
  6. Marc Jacobs Moody Margot: Last but not least, I forgot how much I enjoyed this lipstick! I do NOT need another lipstick, but I haven’t really worn a nude lip in ages so this may be nice for summer. I love the gel-like textures of these lipsticks because they are very moisturizing but actually have pigmentation.

Alright girlfriends, that is all for now! Give me your shopping edits! What have you purchased, what is in your cart, what do you see missing?!

The Container Store has the biggest TSA approved clear bag. The bottom is flat so it allows you to take so much more. I think I can fir twice as much as a quart ziplock. I’ve traveled with it quite a bit and never had a problem. It’s the clear one with the black trim.

I just recently bought and started using the Amika Straightening Brush and absolutely love it! I have short, thick, wavy hair and this smooths everything out (even crazy cowlicks from sleeping), while leaving volume! It makes it so easy to have your hair looking great in no more than 5 minutes. Totally recommend!

That bag you linked is $4.95…. you’re debating with the price? How much cheaper do you want it to be? Everything else you posted is expensive. You’re confusing.

I made a mistake looking at the price. I think I accidentally looked at a different bag because I had read it was $24 and I thought that was silly.
